The story was ok, but in retrospect, I would have much preferred to read the novella. It is read by a woman and I feel it would have been much better with male & female readers as the story is told from both viewpoints. I just found myself getting irritated as the reader tried to put on different voices for each of the characters – and it just sounded a bit silly, detracting from the story. I enjoy Kelsie Calloway’s writing, so will be sticking to reading her novels in future.
