Summary

“Look, I’m not asking you to believe me blindly. Just…give it shot. Just check out the evidence.”

This is the big break that Nico has been waiting for - a new piece of evidence has come to light that will exonerate his uncle, who has been in prison for a murder he didn’t commit. Only no one will take him seriously - not even the commanding, dominant Deputy Case.

"We have a system, and I have to trust in it. I did my job three years ago…but you’re right. I don’t want an innocent man in prison on my conscience."

Landon Case is up for a promotion. If he makes Detective, he’s that much closer to the most coveted goal of all - being elected Sheriff. He doesn’t have time to make waves, chasing down leads on a case that’s been closed for years. But something about Nico’s stubborn nature makes Landon want to support him…and also see how beautiful he is when he submits.

Welcome to Worthington, Texas, where the heat doesn't just rise in the summer - you'll feel it all year long in these stories of older men and their younger lovers. Every audiobook in the Worth It series can be listened to on its own, but with so many familiar characters to love, why stop with just one? This audiobook features the dogged determination of familial love, the elation of solving a years-old crime, and two men who can’t help but come to odds when they think that they are always in the right.

Great story as you’d expect from Peter.

The usual awesome story from Peter and well read by Nikola. The characters are interesting and story is convoluted but draws you in with both humour and drama. Only let down is the poor recording quality.
If you enjoy Peter’s work you should get this.
