About this listen

Baseball player. Single dad. Hot mess. No woman has ever tamed him...until now.

Everyone knows Ryan Riggs - everyone who follows minor league baseball, that is. He's the player with the hair-trigger temper, the bad shoulder, and the smoking-hot looks. He's also a single dad in need of a nanny - which makes him my new boss.

Simple.

Except for one thing: We had a one-night stand five years ago. We're trying to be professional. But it was one of the best nights of my life, and the more I work with him, the more I'm thinking about a repeat.

He's battling his demons, and I might be the only one who can help him win. He's impossible. He's unforgettable. He's unwinnable. Looks like I have my work cut out for me...

Audiobook review. Ryan and Kate made a cute couple. They had instant chemistry and a whole lotta passion to go with it the one night they met and had together. Ryan is a responsible single dad now though and as his priorities shifted, so did his way of thinking.

When reading the other brothers’ stories, I grew to be curious about Ryan. I wanted to know if there was more depth to him than being a baseball player, a hot guy, and a clueless father. Let me tell you, there definitely was!

Ryan was flawed and made mistakes along the way but he showed consistent growth. Kate too was flawed but she brought with her exactly what Ryan’s little family had been missing.

The plot was good. No real surprises but it was still entertaining. The writing was solid and the prose had a nice flow. The narrators, Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood, did an excellent job with their roles. Their tone, pitch, inflections, and transitions were smooth.

Complementary copy received and voluntarily reviewed.

I received the Audio book in exchange for an honest review.

First up, I'm am so in love with this series. Every Riggs brother is so underestimated and I enjoy watching them find their well deserved happily ever after.

Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood were absolutely amazing to listen too. They're great narrator's but just so completely embodied these characters. Being a reader who doesn't listen to many audio books I for once can say it really makes you want to keep listening to more.

To the story, it follows Ryan Riggs, ex baseball player and player in general. Having had a child unexpected handed over to him, his life has changed a lot in the past four years.

With his schedule being so hectic especially with his baseball career going no where, he needs a hand taking care of his son. So he hired a nanny. Enter Kate.

Kate is so wonderful, she is strong and independent. She may not have a clear idea on what she wants her life to be but she still had a somewhat clear direction to follow. However when she sees that her new nanny job, is to take care of Ryan Riggs, a man she slept with five years ago and still can't get out of her head, things get a touch complicated.

The chemistry, the connection and the story as a whole was so perfect. There wasn't a dull moment. Espeically if you've read the other two books before it's exciting to see those characters again and see how they bleed into Ryan and Kate's lives.

It was such a fun read, keeps you hooked throughout and especially joined with the audio book it makes it a great reading experience!

OMG...I am so loving these Riggs brothers novels and Work Me Up, the third book in this series was no exception. This slow burn romance was Ryan and Kate's story and what a tale it was. These two had intense chemistry and I loved the development of their relationship throughout the story. I loved the inclusion of Ryan's brothers and the characters from the previous novels and I absolutely loved Ryan's son Dylan. This story was funny, sweet and sexy and included tropes of single dad, second chance and sports romance into one fabulous novel. This was a fantastic page turner I would highly recommend it to all lovers of single dad romance.
I listened to the audiobook version of this novel which was narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke. They were perfectly suited to these characters and they did an excellent job with the narration infusing the right amount of emotion where needed. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

I'm loving this series

I absolutely love the Riggs brothers! Each one is so different and their stories divergent, yet the bond is there and, of course, they are all gorgeous, tough and possessing hearts of gold 😍. Ryan and Kate's story is magic. It's funny, sweet, hot and a complete joy, both to read and to listen to. Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood are outstanding narrators. They bring the characters to wonderful life and I found myself completely immersed in their skillful reproduction of the book. It was great getting to know Ryan better and the brothers' banter is perfect. Kate is a delight. She is kind, funny and perfect for Ryan, and for Dylan. One of my favourite listens of this year! 💖💖💖💖💖

Ryan is a minor league baseball player who has been injured and it isn’t healing as quickly as he would like. Trying to balance the rehabilitation as well as looking after his son has become difficult so he decides to hire a nanny.

Kate isn’t sure what she wants to do with her life but when the opportunity to be the nanny for Ryan’s son comes up it will give her more time to decide what it is that she really wants to do. The only complication is that she and Ryan had a one night stand five years ago.

When Ryan can no longer postpone the end of his career he decides to return to Westlake and work with his brothers at their automobile repair shop and he wants Kate to come with him. Will they be able to keep their relationship strictly business or will this be their second chance?

I enjoyed both these characters. Ryan comes across as a self confident playboy but the truth is so much different while Kate isn’t sure why he would be interested in someone like her. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought that the narrators were a perfect choice for these characters.

Ryan and Kate!
