Loved it! Full of knowledge! Lots to think about!
Very interesting read, will revisit it a few times to let the information sink in. I'm on my way to built a subscription based business and feel much better about my choice!

Fantastic, straightforward actionable advice from a man who knows
I have followed James Schramko via his podcasts for years. I really like his straight-up, no BS approach. I’ve found this is a classic Aussie virtue but even for an Aussie, James is direct and to the point.
Amid all the abstraction and hype in so many business development books, it’s a welcome relief.
Jim Schramko practiceS what he preaches in this book which is always reassuring as well.
What I really really like about this book is it’s very very direct, simple and actionable.
A lot of the books are either based on one simple idea -which is good but not really worth a book. Others contain many ideas but which are quite abstract and difficult to implement in practice.
James is focused on the effective hourly rate as the golden metric for most entrepreneurs and start up owners. In my experience is absolutely bang on with this as an emphasis.
He gives various very simple but profound ways to increase your effective hourly rate i.e. profits goes up without you working more hours.
In short, this is an absolute godsend of a book. I cannot recommend it enough to any solo-preneur or all start up business owners.
It would also be excellent reading for the owners of scaling small to medium size businesses as well. I think they often fall into the trap getting too complex and treating revenue is a goal in and of itself.
The emphasis on effective hourly rate for business owners is a fantastic corrective to that. Plus the simple formulas he uses, while not necessarily original, are often neglected. He articulates them clearly and simply.
A must-read for all the above types of business owners.
