Summary

International best-selling phenomenon Mel Robbins has inspired millions to change their lives - and now she'll help you get ahead, get paid, and change your work life.

Women get mixed messages about how to succeed at work, and research shows that much of the career advice aimed at men doesn't even work for women. We’re left wondering: How do you say no without being labeled difficult? How do you get paid what you’re worth? What can you do when you start to doubt yourself? Should you go for that next big promotion, even though it’ll impact your family? What do you do when you’re feeling invisible and unappreciated?

Known for being 2018’s most-booked female speaker in the world and now a nationally-syndicated talk show host, Mel Robbins answers these questions and more with research-based strategies that you can put into action immediately. In this mix of one-on-one career coaching sessions and personal narrative, you’ll laugh, learn, and be inspired to get ahead at work - all while getting more enjoyment out of your life. No matter where you are professionally, Work It Out will give you the tools you need to create the career of your dreams.

Amazing book full of powerful tools

Another brilliant book by Mel Robbins. I love her audiobooks. She is so real and her coaching method is so good. I have already started to apply what I’ve learned. Looking forward for the new Mel’s book!
Thanks Mel

Compelling, useful, and entertaining

This book may be called "Work It Out," but it goes far deeper than just our careers and work. So far, in listening to Mel's deep coaching and takeaways, I have learned that the challenges we face in our work are the same ones we have had throughout our lives. And while listening to each session I can see myself in every single one, and even better -- I get a clear understanding of how it can be changed immediately. This book, like all of Mel's work, stands out from the many "tips" and "hacks" we receive about how to be more productive and successful and instead focuses on how we can spot our subtle missteps and have the life and careers we have always wanted. 5 stars all around.

Cannot stop listening!!

WOW. This came out yesterday and I’m already almost all the way through. Mel dives deep into the past/stories of each guest and gets to the REAL root of the issue that they are facing. I just love her approach - straight to the point and no BS - but so caring at the same time. I feel so empowered already. Incredible.

SO much useful coaching

I'll be honest. I'm only three sessions in but ALREADY I am blown away by how much I am learning. And just like Mel's last two Audible audiobooks, I somehow seem to relate with every session. I just wish I'd had this book twenty years ago because I would have done things so much differently in my jobs, and definitely while looking for jobs. I have to digest all this stuff but I can't wait to try out the nuggets I've got so far. Thanks, Mel!

Mel will change the world

As an already accomplished business owner, the first minutes into the book I thought “this book probably isn’t for me.” Then I got to chapter 2 and holy crap- Mel spoke to me yet again. I knew I loved her for a reason. She’s changing the world for the better one small action at a time. You gotta listen to this one!

The advice in Work It Out actually feels doable and practical. I can't wait to put these tips into action.

Work does not have to be a four letter word!!

I started listening to the first chapter while driving to NH w/my hubby! On speaker phone we both listened! I originally thought it would be women related only, yet we were both pleasantly surprised! As I heard Mel’s explanation for many things that Rebecca did to “keep busy” to not have to deal with her real stuff, everything reminded me of my hubby and even myself, just in different actions! Very liberating for us to realize there is always a chain of events that bring you to where you are and realize when you know better, you can do better! Chapter two.....bring it on!!! Highly recommend for ANYONE! Stay tuned......more to come!

Great stuff!!!

What a great listen. I know I will listen over again and catch more nuggets of info. I’ve already recommended it to two work mates and they ordered right away. Some books change your life. I expect this is one of those.

Practice to be ready in different kind of changes.

Thank you so much Mel Robbins. We made it. :)

It's very natural on how you provide us an advise and help.

I really need an advise like this specially about my work, career and so on! It's not easy to decide, to quit and start again.

But after listening to your audiobook. I am learning so much and I will make sure I will apply these tools and start to print out the PDF file available so I can assess my self and be ready because I deserve more in this life.

Everything requires time and practice and yes, everything change, I need to adapt in to this changes and ready to create my own changes. It's time to #workitout #AskMel

Thank you! Must listen!

Mel Robbins is the bomb!

Want to learn something about yourself and be a better self? This book helps focus your skills and "hersory" to help you with making good life decisions relating to work and personal relationships. I've listened to all the Mel's Audible books, and have learned from all of them. I will be re- listening to this one soon, as I do with all of them, to catch any tidbits I missed! Thanks Mel!

Worth the time

Although this isn’t a quick listen (I have very little time these days), I’m giving my review 5 stars! It was chock full of great advice in each segment. Although I resonated most with the last woman, Rachel - I took away helpful information from each of the 5 sessions. Quality advice that will help me as I go out into the world to search for a job after being a stay at home mom for the last 17 years. Thank you, Mel!!! P.S. I love your voice!
