Good clean mystery!

I appreciate the fact I can have it on with kids in the room! Good plot, I didn't have the "who done it" figured out right away.

great first book in the series

it doesn't take long to become emotionally attached with the characters in this book. That's why I am eager to listen to the next books in the series. You feel like you know these people and want to know what's going on in their lives. This book had just the right amount of suspense and questions that kept you wondering who done it.

Just terrible

I never expected all the references to Christianity. Far too simplistic and just awful reader.

Good Mystery from a Christian Author

The Pros: The story is well written and a good mystery. If you are easily offended by the mention of God, Prayer or Scripture, then this book is NOT for you. I don't quite understand people who will give a bad review solely because of it's spiritual content. I didn't find it offensive nor did I think it distracted from the story. There are very few mentions of a spiritual nature. It is written in a similar style to Francine Rivers. Something very positive about the book is that there is no bad language and no sex.
The Cons: I thought the reader read too fast. At first, I thought my iPhone was on 1.25 or 1.50 X speed. She also doesn't distinguish very well between characters with her voice. This is one book that might have benefited from different readers; one female and one male. However, I still was able to listen to the book and enjoy it. The speed was just a minor irritation but that is why I only gave 3 stars.

don't bother

The topic sounded good but it is not well written and the story leans heavily on religion. I couldn't finish it...

One of my all-time favorites!

This is one of my favorites in the Christian Fiction Suspense genre. I've read/listened to this book at least six times and it never gets old. Colleen Coble has a way of character development that is hard to find these days.

Don't bother.

I wanted to like this book but it is just too poorly written. This author creates unrealistic characters and situations to make her extremely weak plot line work. This is just bad writing by an untalented author. If it weren't for the dogs and the attempt at Gods message I would have given it a lower review.

Awesome reading, true mystery !

Awesome reading, this book is a true mystery.
Was there a crime? Who? Why? Plus many layers of stories. Heart pulling and wonderful joy. A must read! Devon O’Day reads so delightful, so much feeling in every word. Colleen Conley has done it again. A wonderful book and series. Can’t wait to start the next one.
