Summary

When the EMP hit, the small world around a liberal arts college in the Vermont mountains changed drastically.

But Tav had trained his whole life for this.

Now this ex-Army Ranger has to serve again, but this time it’s a group of four beautiful women and one gentle old man who need his help to survive this lawless world.

And Tav isn’t going to let them down. He’ll fight wild dogs, hungry mountain lions, and worst of all, men, to help protect his new family.

Disclaimer: Without Law has adult scenes where the male protagonist makes love to multiple women.

A Good Reai.

If you enjoy Eric Calls writing and you enjoyed the first book in this series then I believe you will enjoy this book. I found the progression of this book interesting and the growth of the characters fun.I'm interested to see where they go from here and I would love for them to have some interaction with others that did not end in death. The narration is spot on and I can't wait for the next Audible!

Funny, "Realistic", and knowledgable

Being in a situation as Tav and group are in, it feels real. All the chores, daily life, knowledge of characters, and personality of all the characters makes this a good read/listen. not overly done sex scenes, great narrators, and perfect pacing of timeline. Characters are growing in relationships and personal qualities. I enjoy this book and recommend it to anyone who likes post-apocalyptic, survival, action book.

Good Overall

This book has a decent pace. My biggest issue is the narration of the female characters. Threet does not have distinct enough voices for the different characters. Boucher does a good job though and with his you can recognize different characters.

Continues to be a fun adventure

I definitely think this is one of my favorites of Vall’s different series. I’m enjoying the semi-post apocalyptic setting quite a bit and the “town building” aspect scratches a gamer itch. I must say I’m really enjoying the narrator duo and the way they’ve intersected the parts, with Jessica reading all of the female roles and not them simply alternating chapters or perspectives like I’ve seen in other novels.
