A new mystery set in Scotland from the ever-popular author. Surveyor Douglas Young stumbles across rambling Underwood House, near Edinburgh, one day whilst walking his dog. He realizes its potential immediately, and after it is developed into flats he becomes the anointed leader of the residents. So when one of his neighbours is found dead, Douglas and his young assistant Tash become irrevocably involved in the police investigation. But the plot thickens when a shocking discovery is made in the deceased’s flat....

Mr Hammond"s stories are easy going and help pass the working day as crime in rural Scotland was solved there also seems to be a abundance of sexual activity in those parts

I like the uncomplicated way this book has been written, enough story to keep my attention to the end. It’s only a short book, I usually like 10 hours plus, but the story didn’t lack any detail. Good narration in a slight Scottish accent which is good to listen to, great voice adaptation to each character. A good listen.

Short but entertaining!
