I don't listen to many witchcraft books as a rule. I'm pleased I listened to this one. There's plenty to enjoy in the story and the narration is excellent. The narrator Harriet Talbot brings Alia Smith words to life in a way that makes the characters feel very real.

To be honest while entertaining I didn't really understand what was going on. It seemed like a lot of crazy happenings that got blamed on the weather but as I got lost with how they solved it, I couldn't really explain what went on. This is my first time with the coven and while the story is published as a standalone, I think maybe if I had heard the first book it might have helped with this book.
I did like the characters, especially Juno and her love of experimenting. She caught my imagination and with her sass, she had me chuckling. With the three different personalities, they made for an interesting coven. The grumpy house and talking parrot also added to the fun. It was entertaining and I think I will listen too it again, if only to get a better understanding of what went on.
The weather has gone wonky and for witches Maeven, Ivy and Juno it seems to be sending them a message. With the lightning strikes getting more and more dangerous, its also getting closer and closer to home. The cry for help carried in the wind has the towns emotions all over the place, which in turn seems to be feeding the storm. Can the witches uncover what is really going on? And put a stop to it before anybody else gets hurt?
I liked the narrator. She provided some unique voices for the characters which provide to be magical.
