About this listen

Retired FBI agent Jeremy Winter spent his career chasing serial killers. Now, he finally has a chance to go after the one murderer who matters most - the killer of his wife and unborn daughter.

With few clues and nowhere to start, Jeremy tests the legal limits of his investigation, risking arrest and angering his FBI agent girlfriend Maggie Keeley. His determination to find the killer leads him on a twisting path of weak leads and strong doubts.

The past is fixed.

The future is fluid.

The fury is now.

And Jeremy Winter has time to kill.

Brilliant story but narrator lets it down. Voices not so good as previous narrator. Still excellent though

Tom Threadgill is a good writer who balances sensitive descriptive writing with believable dialogue. I’ve digested all three books in this series. However, the storyline and the characters’ motivations in Winter’s Fury were a real challenge to my credulity. I kept with the book as a night-time sleep-aid but don’t think I’ll be coming back for more.

Suspension of disbelief

After reading the Benjamin Hope series I doubted that I would ever get into another series with the same enthusiasm. I’m glad to say I was wrong! I’ve really enjoyed Jeremy Winter’s adventures. Although he’s a much more serene character than Ben Hope, he grew on me very quickly. Only thing I didn’t like was the narrator’s voice for one of the characters, a young black FBI agent called Taneesha. They gave her the voice of an ‘old grandma’, rather than
one that matches the young vibrant woman her character portrays.

New author for me. Loved it!
