When Miller Hobbs finds himself on a winter vacation in Colorado with the giant, exceedingly loud, Marian and Wilde families, he doesn’t quite know what to do with himself. He’s not really a Marian or a Wilde despite having DNA ties to both. So every morning before the rest of the family wakes up and fills Rockley Lodge with holiday merriment (and noise), he escapes to the quaint downtown of Aster Valley where he spies a man through the bakery window kneading dough and dancing to music only he can hear.

The best mixtape always has a mix of favorites on it - songs playing in the background at Jude and Derek’s wedding or when Simone finally falls in love. Loud beats pounding the dance floor when Blue tries to seduce Tristan in public, or sleepy notes written late at night while Jude is on tour. Strains of familiar music bring heart-gripping memories rushing back in. Made Marian Mixtape is a collection of everything from a short 1,000-word vignette to a longer 30,000-word novella. Catch glimpses into the lives of favorite existing Marian characters and meet new ones as well.

The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

Magnus Carlsen is determined to grow old disgracefully. At 52, he doesn’t believe in keeping anything. Men, sofas, books—everything gets jettisoned, eventually. He’s divided his life into happy compartments. A successful trial lawyer, he spends his days lecturing jurors, exasperating judges, and striding arrogantly around courtrooms. He fills his nights with a parade of handsome young men who want to make him happy. Why date someone his own age to discuss back pain, retirement planning, and corns when he can date men who don’t care to discuss anything at all?

When it comes to hockey, I'm all about the game. I've worked for years to be one of the best in the league, and l've done it without splashing my orientation all over the tabloids. My hockey image is one I've carefully cultivated, and after one night with Ezra Palaszczuk, I risk it all. He's cocky, obnoxious, and has an ego bigger than Massachusetts. And okay, maybe he's the sexiest man I've ever known. We'll never get along. Not when we sleep together. Not even when my possessive streak awakens. That doesn't stop us from falling into bed together over and over again.

When my little brother’s best friend offers me a place to stay in exchange for menial duties, I swallow my pride and jump at the offer. I need this. I also need Beau to wear a shirt. Summary
Gentry Kane is a rock star I've been half in love with my whole life. And now he's my patient.
When Winter Waites knocks on the door to the snowy cabin where his next physical therapy patient awaits him, he has no idea his dream celebrity is on the other side. Gentry Kane is everything Winter has always fantasized about.
But it was only a fantasy. What happens when Winter is faced with the flesh and blood man who wants more than physical therapy? Can one night in a cozy cabin lead to more? And how will that affect Winter's growing career in the tiny, charming town of Aster Valley?
Winter Waites is a 25,000-word stand-alone novella.

Meh....
It's bad cheesy, some funny dialogues but so random and the narrator sounds like a robot.
It's my goodbye from this author since I've realized her characters are empty and the plot is always lacking.

I wish I had liked it more
I would wish to have liked this more. It is a sweet short story, but it feels as though it fell off the production line.
Many authors might have tried to turn this into a full novel with the addition of an hundred pages of sex scenes. I thank the author for not doing that.
The reader has the exaggerated style that seems very popular at the moment. It is more like a dog pulling at the leash than the measured, masculine voice that I would prefer. I shall continue to search for books read by Shane East.

Latest New Series from Lucy! Each Book HEA!
So this is the prequel to the Aster Valley Series, the book has an HEA for it's characters, and, the characters from this book carry forward into book 1 of the Aster Valley Series, "Right as Raine" (which has it's own HEA) and into book 2 "Sweet As Honey" (it's own HEA) and into book 3 "Hot As Heller". Making Aster Valley a tight little community and a nice continuity to the series! Michael Dean brings the characters to life and Lucy's. steamy character hookups to a boil!

Winter and Gentry - I loved them
I just loved Winter and Gentry. They were both awkwardly perfect together and apart. This is a sweet sexy rockstar and normal fan fling turned into forever low angst novella. Michael Dean does a wonderful job narrating this love story. Gentry is the lead singer in a famous band. One concert he was drawn to a fan and ended up singing directly to him so he was disappointed when the fan left before the end of the concert. Disappointed enough to run out after him. Winter is a long time fan of Gentry and his band. He was so sorry to leave the concert but it was unavoidable. When Gentry is at a rented cabin in Aster Valley, he gets an appointment for a home PT visit for his injured hand and Winter is the therapist that arrives. The meet cute at the concert was the start of their HEA but the second meeting was almost as swoon worthy. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, strong friendships, sexy times, real life issues, imperfect characters, and so much love. While short, the story was well written, the characters were well developed, and the storyline was engaging. I am definitely reading more of this series.
