About this listen

*Now a major TV series on Amazon Prime Video, starring Jenna Coleman*

LOVE CAN HURT. BETRAYAL CAN KILL.

Shattered by the discovery of her husband's affair, Liv knows they need to leave the chaos of New York to save their marriage. Maybe the road trip they'd always planned, exploring America's national parks - just the two of them - would help heal the wounds.

But what Liv hasn't told her husband is that she has set him three challenges on their trip - three opportunities to prove he's really sorry.

If he fails? Well, it's dangerous out there in the wilderness; accidents happen all the time.

And if it's easy to die, then it's also easy to kill.

Liv and Will, so happy together. All is not as it seems. Great book, fabulously narrates. Can highly recommend.

Halfway through this book I had to put it down because I needed time to deal with the intense backlash from stripping of flesh from your emotions and leaving them raw....
within a day I picked it back up again because I HAD to know what was going to happen. And whilst, after a fashion the plot was not exactly predictable but certainly more comfortable, well that in Itself was confusing because it shouldn’t have been comfortable.
That will hopefully make more sense only after you’ve read the book - no spoilers here.
The writing is excellent, detailed and brutally honest but the narration was a little sharp for my personal tastes. Perhaps that was intentional.
So yes, I strongly recommend this book!

Hot and Twisty

I was really in two minds as to wether I would finish this book after the first two chapters. I am really glad I did though. Great story well read and a twist here and there that gets the adrenaline going. A really good listen.

What a surprise

I read this because I thoroughly enjoyed the Netflix series and thought it must be a great book. It isn’t. The screenwriters had worked extremely hard to make the story thrilling and the book was a letdown after that. If you’re yet to watch the series, and want to do both, I suggest read the book first, or put up with the narration, then watch the series. The narration isn’t consistent. Characters speak in each other’s voices, sliding in and out. The narrator struggles with male voices, and perhaps would do better just to read the book in her own voice without trying to perform, as Alan Tittchmarsh does without ruining a book at all. But if you only want book or series, watch the excellent series, that’s still in my mind days after I finished watching it. Jenna Coleman’s performance is beyond outstanding, and the expression/s on her face during the closing moments will leave you thinking and stay in your mind for a very long time.

Not as good as the TV series
