Summary

The second book in the Hunt Legacy duology by the Sunday Times and New York Times best-selling author of the This Man series.

A desperate passion, a dangerous love story....

Eleanor Cole had no idea that when she met the charmingly irresistible Becker Hunt, she was putting her life on the line. So when she discovers his secrets, escape seems to be her only option - but Becker isn't ready to let Eleanor go.

She knows better than to fall into his corrupt world again, but how long can she resist when he's stolen her heart?

Eleanor must make a choice, to stay and follow Becker into the heart of the danger...or risk losing him forever!

Becker Hunt is back, and this time he's not letting Eleanor walk away....

Mumbley mumbleson

The narration is annoying, every male is either mumbled or really low. I turn it up and get shouted female voices but still struggle to hear whispered Becker, traffic is not your friend if out walking while listening or any kitchen appliance for that matter. eg you're making a cuppa. Please re dub and turn up the male characters.

A bit disappointing

This second book of the series wasn’t as good as the first. I felt that the story was even more unrealistic/far fetched than I’d usually expect in a book like this which was quite off putting - it’s like the author had an idea but then ran with it too far. I was actually glad when I got to the end. In this book I feel we didn’t get a good an insight into the characters; I started to dislike Becker and felt Eleanor gave in too easily a lot of the time. The male narrator (Epilogue) did not match up to how I thought Becker’s voice would sound like (the narrator had a much older sounding voice). I felt the female narrator’s voice was quite shouty at parts, especially the sex scenes. I also disliked the male voices the female narrator put on, they were quite cringey. I had to satisfy my curiosity by listening to book 2 of 2 (as book 1 ended on a cliff hanger), but ended up a bit disappointed. I find this author uses quite a bit of repetitive language/phrases/descriptions. I think this will be the last book of hers that I read.

Fantastic

Thank Jodi Ellen Malpas for this fantastic story. I couldn't put the book down and I also listen to the audio whilst walking my dog.
I laughed and on edge at times.
You are no doubt my favourite author of all times.

Becker Hunt ....... Swoon

A wonderful conclusion. Becker is up there with Jesse. I loved Eleanor's sassy way. Loved every single character especially Winston. Is it greedy of me wishing for a third book. Well done again Jodi.... Bravo

Repetitive & un-original

After the first book I thought there would be an exciting end to the story and sadly I was disappointed. The repetition of language became grating and the story was jumbled and rushed. It could have been good - the ideas were there - but it was a flop and not worth the time it took to listen. Sorry!

Way too drawn out

The story started off ok, but was long winded, in the middle to the point that I fast forwarded large chunks of the book. The ending did pick up. Not my favourite malpas book.

perfect ❤

Oh my Becker's voice is just perfection. Kristen as Eleanor and reading the other characters voices was outstanding. Both the narrators brought this duet to life but the epilogue was just brilliant. My love for Becker and Eleanor has grown after listening to their voices. I could listen to this duet over and over an never grow tired of them. perfect ❤
