Confused by my own thoughts while listening to this book. The story is well written and the narrators do a great job giving the characters depth bring the pain in the words of the author true life. I was pulled in to the story needing to know what would happen next, yet at the same time my own mind was screaming ‘ the is so F’d up’.
If you like a really twisted story with so much whirl of emotions and strong D/s elements you will love this book but if you are looking for a alpha male that has a soft heart this is not for you.
Though I might be confused at my own slight disgust at parts of this book, I am very much looking forward to book 2!

I've been waiting for the story of lizzie and richard to come to audible since I first read the series under its original book name (ward). May i just say It did not disappoint. Both narrators managed to bring the characters and story to life. Its satisfyingly twisted dark degrading and oh so wrong, this had me questioning my own darkness and morals over and over. I loved richard, but I guess I'm just a wanton harlot at heart. Cannot wait for the rest of the series to be released
