Summary

How can you believe all this stuff? This is the number one question Catholics get asked - and, sometimes, we ask ourselves. Why do we believe that God exists, that he became a man and came to save us, that what looks like a wafer of bread is actually his body? Why do we believe that he inspired a holy book and founded an infallible Church to teach us the one true way to live?

Ever since he became Catholic, Trent Horn has spent a lot of time answering these questions, trying to explain to friends, family, and total strangers the reasons for his faith. Some didn't believe in God or even in the existence of truth. Others said they were spiritual but didn't think you needed religion to be happy. Some were Christians who thought Catholic doctrines overcomplicated the pure gospel. And some were fellow Catholics who had a hard time understanding everything they professed to believe on Sunday.

Why We're Catholic assembles the clearest, friendliest, most helpful answers that Trent learned to give to all these people and more. Beginning with how we can know reality and ending with our hope of eternal life, it's the perfect way to help skeptics and seekers (or Catholics who want to firm up their faith) understand the evidence that bolsters our belief - and brings us joy.

Great introduction to Catholicism

I have began reading the bible and this served as a good companion to listen to, the author addresses many of the main arguments non religious people and Protestants make against Catholicism. Easy to understand (coming from a very lapsed Anglican!)

Please, more Catholic Answers books on Audible!

This is a great succinct expression of the reason for our hope in our Catholic faith through and with Christ Jesus.

A must read!

I was really happy to hear Trent narrate his own book. That was a major plus.

Quick and easy!

This is a very quick read and summarises very well what the Catholic Church teaches, although I thought it'd enter into each topic a bit more deeply, it is a great read for non catholics. If you love Trent Horn and have watched to all his videos and podcasts, this may be a bit repetitive for you.
over all great summary

A good overview

Easy to listen to. Perhaps a bit basic for well-catechized Catholics, but ideal for those with poor catechisis, or just curious about the Catholic faith. I plan on having middle school/high school aged children listen.

Great Guide to Catholicism

This book was easy to understand, informative, and useful. I had no idea that a book that covers so many topics could be so concise and still do a good job.

Amazing

When the book came out I read it, I loved it, and I emailed Trent asking if it was coming to Audible to which he responded "may in the future" to my surprise it was all of a sudden here. I'm a truck driver and I listen to this ever so often and my apologia still gets better every time. I was pleased to hear Trent Narrate it himself. Now I need more of his books on here.

Excellent read/ listen for all

Great for Catholics/ non-Catholics as well as atheists or agnostics . Wherever you are in your journey this is a great book to help one understand the basics of the Why Catholics are Catholic.

The author reads the book himself and which is always a plus I hope that his other books will make it to audible as well!!!
