About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Rosie Holt, the desperate and loyal Tory MP famous for her viral twitter ‘interviews’, is finally here in book form to celebrate the last 14 years of Conservative government and explain to you, the British public, why the so called “scandals” or “controversial” decisions derided by the left were completely right (and intentional) all along. She’ll make Tories of you all yet.

Having flourished as an MP during the reign of Boris and clung on through to Rishi Sunak’s government, via a short and turbulent detour through the brief fever dream of Liz Truss, Rosie – everyone’s favourite MP – will have you cheering and desperate to ensure the Tories rule for another 14 years. Let’s make Britain great again. (Again.)

Rosie, packs a punch with this book. It is astute and her political knowledge is impressive. It was laugh out loud funny. I would always vote for Rosie.

Brilliant political irony

Well read by the author but by the end glad it finished it does feel like what’s left of the Conservative Party

I love the podcast "Noncensored", from which I'm familiar with comedian Rosie Holt's work as the fictional character Harriet Langley Swindon, who introduces this satirical audiobook. In a similar manner, this book features fictional MP Rosie Holt, who holds harsh and self-serving hard-right views. Real person and comedian Rosie Holt creates funny satire with her creations, but overall I got a bit bored with this book - it started to feel too repetitively formulaic and lacking in belly laughs. Definitely worth a go.

Solid political satire, needs oomph
