‘Remarkable. A twisting, complex legal thriller, steeped in authenticity from the author’s own immense background’ Peter James

‘Glossy, gritty, breathlessly suspenseful, effortlessly authentic, and altogether wonderful’ Lee Child

‘A mesmerizing legal thriller that does the rare thing: It uses the novel to get at the truth’ Michael Connelly

‘Brilliant. This masterfully plotted thriller unfolds like the ultimate chess match—bold move to bolder move with lives hanging in the balance’ Lisa Gardner

‘One of the best political thrillers I’ve read in years. Abrams has given us a book that demands to be read in one sitting!’ Jeffery Deaver

‘Stacey Abrams is a true novelist, and While Justice Sleeps is a first-class legal thriller. It's fast-paced and full of surprises–a terrific read’ Scott Turow

I almost gave up on this audible book several times because of the poor narration. It’s so poor. You have to keep rewinding to listen again to try to make sense of basic sentences due to the reader’s poor understanding of punctuation. She changes the entire structure of a sentence.

It’s hard to follow and her accents are also poor and incredibly irritating.

This is probably a book you’ll enjoy more if you actually read it yourself rather than listen to it. I really hope audible stops using poor readers.

Interesting story but very poorly read.

The book was a slow burner but it had me hooked and I wanted to know how and what and why.
The narrator was great and covered the various accents brilliantly.
The story was a great thriller and worthy of the time spent listening.

Slow. Yea we but had me hooked.

Distracting voice which detracted from the story itself but also didn’t seem to fit some of the characters.

Disappointing narrator

I am fast becoming a fan of court room drama. This just helped me along a bit further.
I will never find it comfortable to accuse those in high office but am impressed by the way this story did just that.
I'm not a spoiler so I'm not able to say more, but you will know what I mean once you've read this.
The production was great and my only complaint is that the character of Avery had such a weak voice. It really grated on me. You will no doubt hear it differently, and that is exactly how it should be.
Happy reading/listening.

A belter of a listen/read.

I hugely enjoyed listening to this novel -- it is an interesting political thriller with several twists. Not sure why other comments flagged narration as I thought it was very good.
