At the heart of Mary Higgins Clark's stunning new novel of suspense is a brutal murder: that of Gary Lasch, a respected and successful young Greenwich, Connecticut, doctor and hospital and HMO head. He was found dead at his desk at home, his skull crushed by a blow with a Remington bronze sculpture, a prized piece from his art collection. The news strikes Greenwich society like a thunderbolt - as does the news that Molly Carpenter Lasch, the doctor's young wife, has been arrested for her husband's murder.

Not sure to make of this
The opening started off, but after that I,m not sure what to make of the rest of it. The narrator gave a good performance, but I think that a different narrator might have been better suited to this story.

Outstanding suspense mystery!
Where Are You Now? was released in 2008 soon after Mary Higgins Clark's 80th birthday. This wonderful suspense thriller is as good of any of her earlier novels. The publisher's summary gives a good synopsis of the story, so I will nor repeat it here. Narration is excellent.

Not her best
I usually enjoy her books. This is one I had trouble listening to and really getting into. It was very slow moving. Many of my audiobooks I listen to over and over. This will not be one of them. There was not enough action or suspense to keep my attention.

Terrible!
I hated this book!
451 million characters to try to remember and keep up with and then the end came so unexpectedly fast. It was probably one of the worst books I have ever read.
I’m glad I waded thru one of her books so I know not to ever try one again!

An overall good mystery
I feel like when you pick up a Mary Higgins Clark novel you know what you are getting. A solid suspense story with some good twists, interesting characters, and a nice story. I won't claim she is for everyone but I do love her works.
Where are You Now? has a great premise and I felt the mystery behind it was delivered well. I do feel MHC laid the clues out well for how everything was happening if not exactly who was doing it. I think she did a great job presenting a wide range of characters with their own motives and setting out who did what while still delivering some surprises. The book has its flaws. The start of it is a little rough on presenting the characters and their motives (telling rather then showing) and the ending felt a little rushed. There are also a lot of characters to keep track of and I won't say that didn't create some difficulties. However, I was entertained for the novel and I enjoyed the narrations of most of the characters.
As usual Jan Maxwell delivered a good audio performance delivering the proper emphasis and voices to the characters. I didnt have trouble telling her voices apart and I think she delivered an entertaining performance. The quality of the recording is excellent.

Nothing Special
This is my first Mary Higgins Clark book. I read the reviews and thought why not? By midway is the book I already knew one of the revelations that would be unfolded at the end. The Who dun it part was a little weak. Great mystery writers give some hint or clue about possible ties or potential suspects. This one kind of drops it at the end with no real build up. You will have to suspend logic at several point sin the story . The main character soon becomes annoying as the story progresses and near the end you’ll roll your eyes. Again not great, but not terrible. I wouldn’t recommend to any serious mystery readers.
