A cinematic horror about parenthood, children, and the monsters that pursue them. Perfect for fans of Joe Hill and Stephen King.
One night, Jess, a struggling actress, finds a five-year-old runaway hiding in the bushes outside her apartment. After a violent, bloody encounter with the boy's father, she and the boy find themselves running for their lives.
As they attempt to evade the boy's increasingly desperate father, horrifying incidents of butchery follow them. At first Jess thinks she understands what they're up against, but she's about to learn there's more to these surreal and grisly events than she could've ever imagined.
And that when the wolf finally comes home, none will be spared.©2025 Nat Cassidy (P)2025 W.F. Howes Ltd. Horror Supernatural Thriller & Suspense Scary

I downloaded this not sure what yo expect, having not read or listened to any of Cassidy's previous work. What I found was a modern day take on a Twisted fairy take, that took some surprising and well written twists. If you're a horror fan, this one is well worth your time.

A Solid Modern Day Horror

Loved the fast pace of this story, it was a complete mix of thriller, horror and fantasy but with very real, relatable chatacters, my first Nat Cassidy book but not my last.

Utterly amazing

I really liked this one. A really well written horror that's about more than just a scary wolf and a young boy with incredible powers!

I absolutely loved this! This is my type of horror and the narrator did an awesome job too! It was deep and meaningful, gory in a profound way instead of being gory for the sake of it, and it was both funny and sad in parts. The main character Jess was brilliantly written and you couldn’t help but root for her. And that twist at the end! Best twist I’ve read in such a long time! When the Wolf Comes Home claims my book of year for 2026 🏆👏🏼

Epic!
