Summary

My name is Alexis Delaney, and I'm your average 17-year-old girl. Except I'm a Necromancer. Which means I can see the dead, talk to them, and help them move on. Well, I used to be able to. Someone has sealed the Veil. Now the dead are stuck here. And with the extra energy floating around town, the ghosts are getting stronger.

It's been two months since I came to Spring Mountain to live with Uncle Rory. And the guys, my five best friends, have done everything they can to help since. Things, for once, were almost normal; my issues with the dead had become routine. Until they all found girlfriends.

Now I'm back to hiding everything again. With ghosts leaving their haunting grounds at will and new people asking questions as I try to build my link to the Veil, I don't know how the hell I'm going to pull this one off. But it can't get that bad, right?

Even better than the last one!

Loved the book and the storyline is unbelievable. The narration was really good too. I still wish the guy was doing the guys speaking parts instead of just their POV but I'm used to it now.

another great book

part two keeps you on your toes as the plot thickens and the characters draw you deeper into the story.

One of the best audiobooks ever

This series is one of the best audios I have ever listened to. The narrator has a beautiful tone of voice which is full of expression and life, she reads fluidly and her voice is soothing to the ear. So good is the quality and voice that I get sucked right into the book, it's relaxing and exciting all at once. The male narrator at the end also has a great tone of voice and it is nice to get the guys perspective in a male voice

I have listened to this audio on more than one occasion and will be listening again in the future. The storyline is epic and one of the best written series I have read so far

If you want a great story with a fantastic audio then get this one as to be honest it does not really get any better than this

Ten stars if I could

Fantastic

This book is beyond amazing. The writing is flawless, the storyline is well thought out, and the characters are so believable. The narrating couldn't have been better. I can hardly wait for the third book to come out on audio!! I've already read it and look forward to intending to it.

ooooh, when is the next book coming out?

I am really enjoying this series. I hate that there's not another book. I am an avid listener and dread the thought of missing the next book when I get involved in another series and have to remember to keep checking back.

Amazing

Amazing. When the Dead Come A Knockin' made me break my own review rules. Normally I would not give a 5 star to a book with as many editing errors as this book had. It wasn't overrun with errors, but there were too many. It's also a bit expensive for Kindle. Still, B.L. Brunnemer has created a series that I am obsessed with, so I had no choice but to praise it. It's original, well written, chock full of great characters. So, so enjoyable.

The book is long and detailed, full of backstory and new information. The characters become more developed and their stories become fuller. Loved all of this. Lexie still has moments of stupidity; perfectly understandable with her history, but she comes a long way in this book. Her heart is her best characteristic. The boys aren't perfect, but darn near close. Their protectiveness over Lexie is endearing. The jury is still out on Dylan.

This book is almost painful. The slow burn of the relationship progress is wonderfully frustrating. One minute I want it sped up, but then I am enjoying the development so much I wouldn't change a thing. The RH genre has become a quality genre. No longer is it just tantalizing smut; now it has worthy writers. This book is a great example of today's RH. It's even better than the first book and I can't explain how much I want the third one to be released today! I recommend it without reservation.

So glad to hear the audio version!

I had bought the ebook a while back and I was skipping thru the lovey-dovey stuff with Dylan when a thought struck : « Why not get the audiobook as well? »
They were stuff I enjoyed reading but to get the issue involving Dylan the audiobook definetely helped. I also don’t think Dylan was the real issue here. Lexxie hadn’t been authentic with Dylan nor with herself almost from the start. Anyhoo, very inspiring stuff! Thank you B.L.!😋✨❤️

My favorite series

I love everything about this book, the story, the characters, the audio performance is fantastic. I try to start other books while waiting for the next in the series, but I literally cannot. I can no longer remember how many times I've listened to all 4 of the books that are out while I await the next to come out in audiobook. Highly recommend!
