Summary

Kennedy Ryan and Brooke Nicholas have circled around one another for years without getting to know one another, but getting stuck together during a post-college trip is going to change that. A growing friendship, an abandoned puppy, and no one to act as a buffer between them will upend a lot of ideas they had about one another.

Kennedy finally realizes she may have only scratched the surface where Brooke is concerned, and Brooke is terrified that she's falling in love with her best friend.

Contains mature themes.

Absolutely beautiful

This is ranking as one of my all time favorite les-fics. This slow-burn was sweet, tender, and at times an achingly poignant story. While it took a while to get to the HEA, the journey was lovely and realistic and watching them get to truly know and understand each other was beautiful and worth every minute. Spend the credit, spend the cash…but definitely get this book.

Pass on this one. This book was written for teenagers. YA fiction.

I have read all the books from this author mildly enjoyed them but not this one. This one is bad. I feel like the mains are 13. I have roughly 1 hour and 17 minutes left to go and the main characters have shared all but 2 quick kisses. No communication whatsoever. Nothing of substance. This book is 100% teenager angst.

It started so promising. The premise sounded good and the beginning followed that plot unit bam they left the cabin. It seemed like one chapter covered it. The two MCs talked for one night alone, honestly one conversation, and then bam they’re interested in each other.

What follows is two friends dancing around feelings for each other and spending most the book thinking to themselves. The dialogue is so boring. When they finally kiss they get distant with each other and then when they finally kiss again some childish drama is thrown in and they go all distant and angsty again. I had to take a break and warn y’all. This is YA barely lesbian fiction. Pass.

Endless angst

This was 8 1/2 hours of angst. Great performance by Lori Prince. This is about a long journey to reach romance with one momentary sex scene. Not a typical lesbian story

Slow Motion

Th famous Romance staple , the slow burn is pushed to it's limits , then beyond. This is unfortunate since the writing in general isn't too bad. This was a six hour book turned into a nine and a half hour slog through lesbian post-adolescence politics and dating. Once again an author chooses to make a point a dozen times, when two or three would do.

Wow!!

This was one of the most beautifully crafted stories I have ever read. The way the words came together and the story unfolded in my head, creating different emotions in me due to fully explaining every characters feelings, it was great. Already bought another book from author.

cute

A cute enough story but it could have been told in much fewer words without missing anything.

From distance to love

This book has so many sub-topics, I loved it. It touched adult dyslexia which is very good. Loved the MC.
Narration by Lori Prince was as usual excellent.
