I love Sarah Winman and this novel didn’t disappoint. Engaging characters and gripping story. She narrates them herself which I think really adds to the listeners understanding. Will be looking for my next book by her!

I loved this book! The story is compelling and winds its way through the lives of a family without sentimentality or pathos but with honesty and a captivating realism. I kept hiding away so I could finish listening.
It is well narrated and I found it easy to listen to. If you like a good family story told well, then this is a good choice
