About this listen

Successful attorney Mark Jansen would like nothing more than to settle down and have a family of his own. But after losing both of his parents in a fatal car crash when he was just seven years old, trusting his heart to someone else doesn’t come easy. That is until one night of passion when one woman manages to break down all of his defenses. But just as quickly as he falls for the sweet, sexy redhead with the unforgettable green eyes, things unravel—just like they always do.

However, fate isn’t finished with these two quite yet when, two years later, Mark realizes he may be a father. But he won’t know that for sure until he finds out the truth, and for that he needs to find the woman who stole his heart.

What he didn’t plan on was falling in love with her…a second time.

This is a very sweet and romantic story.
Mark and Finn have history this is a second chance book...Years ago they had a passionate one night stand, wires get crossed and when they are supposed to meet the next day,Mark doesn't show and it is years later when they meet again.
Mark thinks he could be a father and so seeks Finn out to confront her about it.
Finn also known as Sharon in the begining tells Mark what happened after they were together.
She was pregnant but lost the baby and this stuns Mark and he feels guilty about not being there for her.
This event starts them on the road back to eachother, they become friends which turns into something more.
Mark is a Lawyer whose parents died when he was young and his parents death traumatised him.
Finn is a social worker whose parents are divorced and her father is in prison, she was only young and doesn't remember him.
There are alot of sygnifcant events in this story and alot going on that keeps this story chugging along.
Mark and Finn go through alot during this story and their romance is not an easy one, there are plenty of ups and downs.
They go through grief, and become unexpected guardians to a little girl, plus the release of Finn's father from prison...and a secret Finn is keeping from Mark.
The really nice thing is that Mark and Finn always talk things through, whatever challenges and obstacles they are faced with, they talk to one another and get through it together as a team.
I loved their relationship.
Narration is wonderfully executed by Nelson Hobbs and Amelie Griffin they portrayed all the characters beautifully and really made the story shine by telling it with such emotion.
I really enjoyed listening to them.
Katharine Hope Levy is a new author to me and I enjoyed her writing, her characters were well developed and the story very well written...It is romantic, sweet ,a little bit steamy, emotional and thoroughly entertaining. The ending was so swoony.
I loved listening to it.
