Atlas Carter has it all.

One of the best careers in the NHL as a star goalie.

A family that sacrificed everything to get him where he is.

And a small town that praises him as their golden boy.

What he doesn’t have is the girl he left behind.

But when Atlas gets hurt and is forced to spend his recovery in Ashford Creek, he finally has a second chance.

Elizabeth loves her life—her small town, her family, and her job.

Only she knows she can’t love Atlas Carter.

They parted ways for a reason, and those who judge her from her town don’t need to know the truth. She knows what it feels like to have the town’s eyes on her when it comes to Atlas Carter. So when she finally gives in, she’s prepared for the heat.

At least that’s what they both tell themselves. Because the season is almost here and choices will have to be made.

Only they aren’t the only two forced to make a choice. Somebody doesn’t want Atlas to return…and small towns keep their secrets for a reason.

**Westward is right person, wrong time, hockey hero, small town romance in the Ashford Creek series featuring Atlas and Elizabeth. Each book can be listened to as a complete standalone. A HEA is guaranteed!**

This story brought a little tear to my eyes. Atlas and Elizabeth went their separate way 11 years prior and that was the best decision they could make at the time for both of their futures. They remained friends, the families remained friends and there was no resentment. But they never forgot each other. Now, when Atlas can no longer stay away from his family and the place he always called home, he finds that Elizabeth is his future and he’ll fight for her.
In the book, Elizabeth’s life is shattered but she finds the strength to move on whilst grieving, to help others; Atlas’ life is threatened and the element of suspense added a lot of interest to the book.
Samantha Brentmoor and Gideon Frost also added an extra layer to the book making it so, so good to my ears.

Atlas has loved Elizabeth since he was a teenager however when their lives were taking them in different directions they ended their relationship but remained friends. With the end of the hockey season Atlas is returning to his hometown to heal which also means seeing Elizabeth again and now that they are at different points in their life will it finally be their time?

Elizabeth knows that she and Atlas made the only decision they could at the time as she wasn’t about to hold him back from playing hockey and her life was in Ashton Creek with her family. When Atlas returns for the summer the chemistry and connection between them was stronger than ever however not only are they dealing with how to move forward but the threats that are circulating around them.

This is a heartwarming second chance for Atlas and Elizabeth who were torn apart and it wasn’t because they didn’t love each other. Time nor distance has diminished the feelings between them and Atlas isn’t about to lose Elizabeth for a second time. The audio performance by Gideon Frost and Samantha Brentmoor was flawless as they brought out the personalities of these characters and the depth of their love.

Book 3 Ashford Creek Atlas and Elizabeth by Carrie Ann Ryan.
Atlas is NHL goalie star and Elizabeth is a school teacher for Ashford Creek.
After college they broke up and went there separate ways but I’m not totally sure why if I’m honest.
Really loved the second chance storyline and how they develop their relationship as adults and with all town family watching the drama.
Absolutely loved the narration by Samantha Brentwood who is one of my favourite female narrators and Gideon Frost.
They brought this book beautifully to life.

This was such a great listen. The Ashford Creek series is a world I’d love to be apart of. Amazing cast of characters within the families and friends circles and I enjoy getting glimpses of past characters.

Atlas and Lizzie give a great second-chance story that is heartfelt with some emotional moments. I adored how they cared for Will and made him part of the family.

Dual narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Gideon Frost only amplified my enjoyment of this story. Definitely a series and book I would highly recommend.
