I’m on Chapter 7 but there are chunks of narrative missing and chapters finishing mid sentence. Not sure what’s happened but the editing has gone horribly wrong. Been waiting months for it. Sad times… don’t buy it until it’s sorted!

It’s one of those stories you can listen to whilst doing stuff. Not compelling, but perfectly good.

I enjoyed this more than than we solve murders, I felt the characters are now better developed and that the storyline moved on quicker with enough twists and turns and plenty of laugh out loud movements to keep you listening

A twisty comedic crime novel

The narration and storyline are fabulous, but please Richard, cut out the ‘says, said’, it completely spoilt some of the narration and I very nearly stopped listening which would have been a shame as I enjoyed the story. It seems a very immature way to write for such an experienced writer.

Loved returning to these characters but

First I want to say this book was perfect because of the narrator Nicola Walker. I hope subsequent books will have her narrate too. She brought the characters to life in the first book and has continued in this. I laughed out loud at some points. The storyline kept me guessing. I got it wrong a few times. But then that is what kept it interesting. Richard Osman is an amazing writer. I prefer this series to the Thursday Murder Club but also enjoyed those immensely. You really must listen to this series. It will brighten your day.
