Waxing Pathetic is a sardonic, often hilarious, raging stream of consciousness from one mad American woman. From the pathetic to the political, the lunatic to the poetic, Clark's memoir is a masterwork of dry wit and piercing observation.
From "Been Down This Road" where she relates her high school dating history, to "This is Real...and Surreal" where she takes down some pathetic politics, Clark merges real events with a suspect subconscious that digs down to deeper truths and even deeper hilarity.
If you are a young woman, you will get a glimpse of what may be in your future. If you are an older woman you will be able to relate to the men all pausing. If you are a brave man, you will gain some much-needed understanding of what’s really going on in a woman’s head.
Waxing Pathetic will leave you breathless as you are whisked down roads not taken by most American women. It’s a jungle out there.
