Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Watching You by Lisa Jewell. Gripping psychological suspense from the number one best-selling author of Then She Was Gone, as what begins as an innocent crush develops into a dangerous infatuation.

You’re back home after four years working abroad, with a brand-new husband in tow.

You’re keen to find a place of your own. But for now you’re living with your big brother, camped out in his spare bedroom.

And then - quite unexpectedly - you meet the man next door.

He’s the head teacher of the local high school. He’s twice your age. And he’s devastatingly attractive. Soon you find you’re watching him. All the time.

But what you don’t know is that someone is watching you.

Or that what has started as an innocent crush is quickly turning into an obsession as dark as it is deadly.

Family secrets, illicit passion and an unexplained murder lie at the heart of Lisa Jewell’s gripping new novel.

A compelling listen!

Very enjoyable. Twists and turns in the story; some of which I saw coming, but that was ok. Couldn’t put it down. Good narration.

Really enjoyed this book. Solid characters, good writing. The ending surprised me really. 5 star for its genre.

Loved this

Narration one of the best I have heard and a great storyline. I guessed who did it half way through but that didn't matter as there was an extra unexpected little twist at the end. Thoroughly recommend and will be downloading her other works and looking out for Gabrielle Glaister narrated books in future

Gripping<br />

Totally gripped from start to finish although not quite clear on how much central character knew at end of story.

Her best so far

Absolutely great. Intriguing and slightly tense all the way through, it kept me listening avidly right to the end. The characters were very cleverly observed and completely real, and the narration was perfect.

slow read. sad story.

A very good narrator but this book is very slowly narrated with extra long pauses at the end of each sentence. The book could have been two hours shorter. it is quite annoying in a patronising way to the reader. An intriguing story though with lots of red herrings, slightly far fetched coincidences but a very very sad ending. I enjoyed the book but it left an empty feeling inside.
