Ever had life kick you in the teeth after it shoved you down the stairs? Yeah, that’s how my day was heading. And then I saw an ad in the paper that changed my life—"Wanted: Vampire’s Assistant. Qualifications must include: loyalty, sturdiness, flexibility, dependability, fearlessness, intelligence, and please no applicants that are prone to temper or fits of terror."
Normally, I’d laugh at the absurd ad, but I emailed the prankster—Draven Leto, instead. People need jobs, Mr. Leto. Prank ads are not appreciated. I wasn’t expecting to get a reply. And I certainly wasn’t expecting for the ad to be invisible to everyone else on my floor. Then, a self-proclaimed vampire with a voice that could melt honey called and invited me to interview for the position. And I accepted.
Like I said, life changing.

Brilliant first in series
Welcome to the Moonhaven Cove stories you are going to love them. When Mia first see's the add she thinks it is a prank. When Mr. Leto proves that vampires are real she follows her instincts and goes to Moonhaven Cove, for the adventure of a life time. The characters are quirky fun and diverse. I enjoyed this story and hope their will be many more in this series.
The narration is perfect.

A lot of fun.
This book is so much fun! It has excellent worldbuilding, amazing characters, a lot of humour and a sweet romance. Amanda Fongené narrates the story very well.

A Nice Easy Listen
I really enjoyed listening this book, the story was good and kept my interest. The narrator kept me hooked and bought the book to life. I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

Quite Unusual!
This paranormal story is a little different from others I have read/listened to. It sets the stage for a humourous but also suspenseful series with the unusual characters in Moonhaven Cove. It is clean and very sweet as well, as Mia and Draven gather their friends around them in a deeply committed sense of community.
To begin with the book is a little confusing, which is appropriate because Mia is in the dark about the paranormal community. But as she and Draven develop a working relationship and then a friendship, parts of herself and parts of this new world open up to her.
The story is light, fun, and easy to listen to. It has been well narrated as well. Overall quite enjoyable! I look forward to the rest of the series!
