Summary

Anni Ottanta, in una cittadina sulle rive di un lago del Nord Italia, al confine con la Svizzera: un aspirante medico condotto si invaghisce di una misteriosa ragazza incontrata a una festa. Per un dottorino neolaureato, con le tasche vuote, dedicarsi a un corteggiamento serrato può risultare oneroso e parecchio frustrante.

Soprattutto se la donna dei propri sogni si rivela un tipo complesso, una "bisbetica indomabile" refrattaria alla poesia, benestante ma poco incline a spendere e che regge l'alcol come un carrettiere. Ad aggiungere imbarazzi e malintesi, il nome della giovane non è ben chiaro: Viviana, no Vivìna, anzi Vìvina... Vìvida!

Meglio evitare di pronunciarlo. Tra incontri carichi di aspettative - e che ogni volta sembrano trasformarsi in addii - costose peregrinazioni fra malinconici paesi lacustri, goffaggini e incomprensioni, per i due, tanto diversi, ci sarà un lieto fine?
