Summary

Are you taking calcium or vitamin D? This book could save your life!

Learn the secret to avoiding osteoporosis and heart disease. Millions of people take calcium and Vitamin D supplements thinking they're helping their bones. The truth is, without the addition of Vitamin K2, such a health regimen could prove dangerous. Without Vitamin K2, the body cannot direct calcium to the bones where it's needed; instead, the calcium resides in soft tissue, like the arteries, leading to a combination of osteoporosis and atherosclerosis, or the dreaded "calcium paradox".

This is the first book to reveal how universal a Vitamin K2 deficiency is and the risk (in the form of cancer and diabetes, among other ailments) that the absence of Vitamin K2 poses. Written by Dr. Kate Rheaume-Bleue, a popular health expert on Canadian television and radio, Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox sounds a warning about the popularity of the calcium and Vitamin D craze, while illustrating the enormous health benefits of Vitamin K2 in making the body less susceptible to dental cavities, heart disease, prostate cancer, liver cancer, diabetes, wrinkles, obesity, varicose veins, and other ailments.

I CANNOT APPLAUD THIS BOOK ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!

LEARN HOW TO REVERSE A ALOT OF DAMAGE TO YOUR BODY, THEN SHARE...

I did not know anything could remove plaque from arteries. I did not know just how prevalent plaque is. Plaque can start building up so easily, even from such a young age, onward. I did not know calcium's role in plaque building. I did not know how deficiency in nutrients (no thanks to the toxic state of our food supply) so easily plays such a role in so many diseases. Far too many of us have let this go on for far too long!

I own the Audible and the Kindle. So, I was blessed to hear Virginia Wolf's (narrator) gifted voice making the essential content of this absolutely necessary health book flow smoothly. Listen to the sample and hear for yourself. To think that I could be so pleasantly entertained while learning about such a vital subject. I have no doubt you, too, will benefit once you apply what you learn here.

The Kindle version allowed me to key in a word or two (heard while listening) then be shown exactly which numbered location to advance to, in order to read in depth and highlight on my electronic devise. Love my Tab E and plan to purchase a Kindle, soon. Amazon and my electronic devises makes it all possible. What I enjoy most about the Audible app is that I can set the timer on, set the volume, set the voice speed, choose the chapter, and lay back in bed at night and listen, until I fall asleep, or I can sit back in a comfortable chair, and/or I can listen to the Audible book while I scroll through the internet. No one asked me to say this here. Just want to share how blessed I am.

Let me not obscure the author: Kate Rheaume-Bleue, BSc ND, made it her business to explain every detail to her audience, so we can opt to thoroughly know her subject matter. Kate gifted us with her knowledge. I derived much value from Kate's very forthcoming sharing about a subject most of us share in, though few of us are aware we share. Do not ignore this worthy book because you are worthy of knowing what, I believe, Kate knows you need. Invest in yourself, family, and share with your friends.

I do not know the author or narrator, YET I do hope to share their wealth with all who will listen. I had already been thinking, long and hard, about the deplorable conditions factory farming and incorporated agriculture practices (complete with the depletion of soil and the abundance of pesticides) have left us to suffer the consequences of. I was ready for this book...

FYI: Kate, does not do a deep dive into farming and agriculture, this is not the topic of this book, BUT Kate does make clear our bodies are undoubtedly are in need of, since our food supply is what it is, for the majority of us anyways...

Excellent information. We'll presented.

This book has a tremendous amount of data on not on K2, but also on vitamins D and A as well. It's also presented very clearly and easy to understand.

A must read if you're into health!

incredible information not only about K2 and its involvement with calcium but on just about its involvement with the body as a whole. I haven't heard about this vitamin and now I am making sure I have enough! The book also goes in depth with the other fat soluble vitamins and their symptoms of being deficient in them and how they all work together. If you are involved in the health world or jave interest, this is a must listen to as I have heard countless books and this by far had the most intriguing information. I highly recommend and the listen was easy too as the narrator gave good emphasis but not overly emphasized so it made it such an enjoyable listen to!

Best Book on K2

I'm a huge believer in the benefits of K2 and other fat soluble vitamins. Having read about Weston Price and so called Activator X, I was eager to learn more about the benefits of K2. I was actually quite surprised to find a book solely dedicated to this one vitamin. This book provides all the information one needs and then some. I still go back and listen to this audio book when I'm on the treadmill.

K2 and fat soluble vitamins like A and D are great, but you still need to be an informed consumer if you plan to use them. A book like this goes a long way in providing that needed information.

A wealth of information

This is a great book. I've listened to it 3 times to get all the information Kate imparts. The narrator did a great job relating the information. This book is a must for anyone looking to understand how some vitamins work in the body. I definitely recommend it.

I suffered from coronary calcium plaque at age 30

Update 2: Switched back to MK7 but am taking a small amount of 25 mcg every 2 days (for about 1 month). I feel super and have no side effects! I'll tweak it again maybe in about 2 months by increasing the amount of MK7 and adding D3 into the mix. I'll update this review once I have more.

Update 1: I switched to MK4 because MK7 has too long of a half-life and I get side effects such as heart pain and palpitations (from MK7). I suspect this is because my diet is low in Calcium or D3, but not sure. Regarding D3, I have vitiligo so I can't stay in the sun too much. Anyway, MK4 is great so far, with no side effects.

I was taking vitamin D for a number of months and had a very poor diet with mostly fast food and I developed a lot of calcium plaque (tested) which had a lot of symptoms such as heart pain without any physical provocation and irregular heartbeats. Most of the time when I would get off the couch I would almost faint that's how bad it was. I found this book by accident while I was reading about electrolyte imbalances. I read the book in 2 days and bought an MK7 supplement. Then I took 100 mcg every day. My symptoms almost cleared within a week but not fully. It took around a month to be able to enjoy lite exercises. After that, I stopped taking K2 and my symptoms came back within 3 months, and now I'm back on K2 again.
Long story short I definitely recommend reading this book and... don't take vitamin D without K2 as I did.

Good Info on K2, A, and D3

Excellent nutritional information. I wish she would leave out the evolution pitch. It is amazing how smart intelligent people are so easily deceived by the lie of evolution. Great read and very practical health advice.

Thought provoking

The book covers K2 from several angles. And yes,...Natto is not the nicest food to eat.
