About this listen

 Fanny Thornton, the proud matriarch of the Thornton dynasty, will do anything for her family. Her four children, now grown, mean everything to her, as does Babylon, the most dazzling casino in Las Vegas and the Thorntons' crowning achievement. The title says it all. The plot suddenly got very airy fairy with voices from heaven and what not, help from beyond the grave, which seemed a bit daft and not in keeping with the previous books.

Sonny's health continues to deteriorate and the twins have to cope with Birch's new wife and their half-brother's scheming.
