Mais là n'est pas l'essentiel. Au-delà d'un récit de doutes, de mécomptes, de misères, de maladies, de solitude, d'exil et de crises... l'univers de Vincent, c'est la peinture. À elle seule il a voué sa vie, parce que c'est par elle et pour elle qu'il a lutté contre tous et contre lui-même. Inlassablement, il peignit le soleil. Jusqu'à la fin. Jusqu'au suicide.
