Lovers of horror need to pick up this collection because not only the line up of authors is incredible, but the originality of the stories was great! I also enjoyed the narration by Steve Gray.

I am always sceptical of vampires books, given their recent shift from horrific and malevolent beings to something somewhat more mellifluous and intriguing. Don't get me wrong, vampires are intriguing, but they are also very vicious and monstrous and I'm glad I found these elements again in this collection by Kevin J. Kennedy. In fact, I chose to listen to the audiobook and give these vampire stories a chance just because Kevin J. Kennedy's name is a guarantee in the horror world.

And oh if the stories delivered! Each one of them tackled the vampire theme from completely different angles, resulting in very different tales with different settings, locations and historical times. I wish some of them were longer just from a selfish point of view but in truth all the endings were perfect, just leaving enough for the reader's imagination to fill their nights.

If you want to experience the real essence of vampires, then this collection is perfect!

Thanks to Kevin J. Kennedy for the opportunity to listen to it and this is my honest opinion.
