I love the strength of Raf as he tries to command everything in his world. But it is increasingly annoying that Isa just complains all the time and wants to bow down to her family, who allowed the mental abuse she sustained from her sister on a daily basis when she was home. Raf is trying so hard to let Isa know that she is strong and can be such a better version of herself, but she always recoils back to this weak young woman who want to ever please her family, who don't deserve it. Its a story which keeps you hooked and the dialogue is amazing, the interaction between Raf and Isa is explosive. I have enjoyed reading, just would like a more strong woman lead. Her sister is a nasty piece of work!

Wow, this series is brutal. Isa and Rafael’s relationship is a toxic, obsessive, and an all consuming love affair. The storyline is dark, intense, and gritty with gruesome scenes that could turn even the hardiest of dark fans’ stomach. I loved it! This is a new to me author and I love the fearlessness of her writing. I’ll definitely be checking out her other books. The narrators are great and I highly recommend this series!
