Grant patiently loves his wife from the sidelines while she doesn’t remember being married to him 💔 She thinks she hates him, and oh my heart, I felt so sad for him. He just wants to love her and have her in any way possible. I’m getting teary-eyed just thinking about it 😭
It was beautiful to witness Mercy fall in love with her husband all over again. Grant was so patient through it all, but you could feel how much he longed to hold her and love her openly like he did before.
The narration was phenomenal, Samantha and Shane portrayed Mercy and Grant so well. Since Grant is British, it hit differently to actually hear him speak with a British accent compared to reading it. And hearing him call Mercy “darling” in that British accent had me melting 🫠
I loved this book so much, and it will stick with me for a long, long time! ❤️

Honestly you don’t need to know anything more than this. I loved this novel and the way the author weaved this story through time and character.
The audio was fabulous.
Samantha Brentmoor is my absolute favourite narrator and this was my first experience of her english accents (spoiler alert she nailed it). If Samantha is narrating I’m going to listen.
Shane East was great really bringing in a vulnerability to the character, not an easy task in British RP.
Both artists brought these characters to life and elevated the reading experience. The emotional intelligence of both performances was incredible. Music to my ears.
