Summary
Everything I thought he wanted was a lie....

Prue and Holden’s story
Harlow Layne’s writing is superb. She crafts these amazing characters in her world. Lia Holland adds another dimension to this story. The narration is perfect and really brings life to this story. This story is pretty emotional and has its ups and downs. All in all, it was a great listen. I look forward to more from the author and narrator.

Unsteady in Love
This was the first narration i've heard from Lia Holland, but she does an amazing job, the emotions pours out of her and you feel everything so much more. I love Harlow Layne books, and this was one of her best. It is raw and heartbreaking, Everything that Holden and Prue (especially Prue) go through to make it. Can't say how much I loved this book and performance.

Raw Emotion
"Unsteady In Love: Holden and Prue," was a love story waiting to be told and it was very beautifully in this book. The arthur; Harlow Layne, words seems so real to me, like raw emotions. I felt like I was living the words that I was hearing. Harlow writing is 5 Stars for sure.
Poor Prue had enough traumatic events happen in her life in such a short period of time and now with Holden wanting her forgiveness, it's just to much.
Holden was assistant on being there and winning Prue's love back. And, with there being the trials and tribulations, and a surprise question; that she definitely didn't expect, changed everything for both of them.
With Holden's confession of still loving her, Prue knew deep inside she never stopped loving him. I think anyone who loves a great love story, this is definitely one you want to listen to. Maybe even twice as I did.
The narrator Lia Holland was AWESOME definitely worth 5 Stars by herself.

Love this emotional roller coaster
Awesome story and an emotional roller coaster. I wanted to throat punch Holden, then I was rooting for him, then I wanted to throat punch him, etc... It was a wild ride but I loved it. The characters and friendships are great. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book.

Goodness this read was so emotional and taxing!
So much happened in this relatively short story. I felt like my heart couldn’t take any more if it were longer. Holden and Prue’s second chance romance story was tragedy and heartbreaking, but also fulfilling and joyous.
I truly adored both main characters. They both brought something so special to the story and held their own through their individual chapters. Holden broke my heart. What a weight he had carried for years on his shoulders. And due to tragedy, was forced to shoulder even more.
Prue wore her heart on her sleeve. She dove in head first with Holden and never looked back. I loved how forgiving and understanding she was, even when her heart was pushed to its limits.
The supporting characters in this book were incredible! I absolutely loved the friendship that Prue had found in Alex. The support they provided for each other through the good times and the tough ones was so sweet. I loved Alex and Luke’s relationship and how it provided such a positive example for Prue and Holden to aspire to.
Such an incredible ending for this duo. I absolutely loved how the author wrapped up the story!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic
This book is brilliant! I loved the characters and the chemistry between them. It’s a heart wrenching story with lots of ups and downs. Lia really gives herself to the performance. Highly recommend.

A little of everything I love!
Harlow Layne gives an emotional story to Prue and Holden, one that has a little of everything I love in it. They are high school sweethearts, torn apart. Holden unexpectedly picks up and leaves without a trace, breaking Prue's heart. Now years later, he has returned, and is about to be deployed. With a suggestion that is out of the blue, these two are once again bound together. And when tragedy strikes, will their lives and love be able to take it? Layne gives us history, friends to lovers, second chances and an incredible military romance all wrapped up into this beautiful love story. Parts are written through letters and emails, only accentuating the lives of a soldier and how relationships deal with their distance. It's wonderfully written and easy to get lost in.
This is my first Lia Holland narration, and I loved her voice. She is a perfect fit for this story. She delves into the personalities of all the characters, each has their own voice and it flows with ease. I enjoyed her performance.

Great mix of some fabulous genres!
Let me just tell you that I have been noticing Harlow Layne’s books lately. I think it’s her covers and the titles, or perhaps it’s both. Really I don’t know but when I downloaded this book, I realize it was the same author I’ve been eyeing on Facebook. The look of this cover is gorgeous. I love the colors, the look on the people’s face on the cover. Well, I was excited to dive into Unsteady in Love. It turned out it was a great second chance story with a bit of friends to lovers plus some military sprinkled in. Really, I have no resistance against them!
Unsteady in Love was narrated by Lia Holland. I feel like she did a great job. It’s the first time I’ve listened to her narration. I like it a lot. She brings a lot of feelings and heart to her voice and the emotions in her voice are very strong, vivid almost. I’d happily listen to more audiobooks with her narrating.
