Initially I liked the way it’s fantasy combined with a real world type fiction, but then I didn’t enjoy the heavy religious intrusion.
The narration was a bit off, I started off liking it in the first book, but it started wearing on me by the second book. I felt like the characters and story lost impact because of it, but it wasn’t really terrible.
