About this listen

From the New York Times and Sunday Times best-selling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new steamy, STEMinist novella....

A scientist should never cohabitate with her annoyingly hot nemesis—it leads to combustion.

Mara, Sadie and Hannah are friends first, scientists always. Though their fields of study might take them to different corners of the world, they can all agree on this universal truth: when it comes to love and science, opposites attract and rivals make you burn....

As an environmental engineer, Mara knows all about the delicate nature of ecosystems. They require balance. And leaving the thermostat alone. And not stealing someone else's food. And other rules Liam, her detestable big-oil lawyer of a roommate, knows nothing about. Okay, sure, technically she's the interloper. Liam was already entrenched in his aunt's house like some glowering grumpy giant when Mara moved in, with his big muscles and kissable mouth just sitting there on the couch, tempting respectable scientists to the dark side...but Helena was her mentor, and Mara's not about to move out and give up her inheritance without a fight.

The problem is, living with someone means getting to know them. And the more Mara finds out about Liam, the harder it is to loathe him...and the easier it is to love him.

I loved the story, it was a perfect little nugget of loveliness that was very much needed. I’m a big fan of Love Hypothesis and the only thing with the story itself was I wish it was longer!l because I didn’t want it to end!

I didn’t enjoy the narrator. I thought she sounded like a person reading the news a lot of the time.

Loved the story

Perfect as a commercial romance.
Anyone looking for immediate dopamine hits will get them from this…

I mean - the guy is definitely written by a woman and does not exist, but still!! I wish he did…

Was good

I'm always reluctant to pay for shorter audiobooks but this one was definitely worth the listen. I've just purchased the second as well.

Perfect for distracting you during a spring clean.

For a short audiobook it delivers

I didn't realise how short this was, but it was short and sweet. Can we have more MMC's who aren't experienced sex gods?

Easy, sweet listening

I love The Love Hypothesis and the writer's sense of humor. It's refreshing to be able to laugh out loud and this definitely ticked the box.

I just wish it had been longer to allow Liam to express some affection prior to the sex scene which seemed inappropriate for Liam's character and too rushed.

The narration was great!

A fun novella
