Mariana's writing is phenomenal and she writes some of the best obsessed MMC's. Dex is a tatted up bad boy biker cinnamon roll. I just love him.
First time Bradley Ford for me and he was so good. Sebyo did amazing with all the male side characters and Ava is one of my top female narrators.
The duet narration is seamlessly put together.

The story is as good as ever. It’s a slow burn like all MZ books but there are lots of interactions that keep you going until the deed is done! We have a sweet, and in many ways innocent Iris who in other ways has lived a thousand lifetimes. Dex, who is a reluctant WMC member who has turned his life around after some mistakes when younger landed him in prison. Their paths collide when Iris goes to work for Dex and although they don’t get off to the best start they eventually get their act together. There is a lot going on including Iris’s reprobate father who although absent for most of his life still manages to cause problems for his children. It’s a great story and a great listen.
In this version Ava Erickson does the honours as Iris and does a really good job. Bradley Ford does the honours as Dex and his voice is just perfect for the grumpy, older, biker. Finally Seb Yorke plays every other male character and sounds like he’s just having an absolute ball doing it. All three do a really great job.
If you’ve not listened to this before, and even if you have listened to the previous version, this is well worth a credit.
