I only came to know about Nora last year and she's so talented and amazing,!

I think January LaVoy is a wonderful narrator. Nice characters, good story, not much romance (which is good) and what there is was pertinent, but there was one eye roll when someone was “pulled onto his lap”! Do women do that? I’m as romantic as the next guy (women) but please, maybe it’s because I’m very tall! I know, I digress!

I usually love Nora Roberts’ books particularly her thriller ones. Although this one was ok I wasn’t gripped by the story. The narrator is very good but I didn’t care about the main characters as I normally would. It was very easy to guess who the person was who broke in and the ending was not at all gripping- bit pathetic really.

Enjoyed this one as it didn’t have too much romantic love/sex scene fluff, brilliantly narrated by the wonderful January! Monsters are born not made.
