Jack and Wren were hateful and spiteful towards each other but the smexy times was off the charts lustful. Loved the push & pull between them, the sparks and how deep their (specially Jack’s) connection was despite everything.
And because such yumminess always comes in pairs, Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton smashed their parts as Wren and Jack.

This is book 5 in the Boston Billionaires series of stories and Jack and Wren are the stars of the show.
I listened to the audiobook which is a phenomenal listen narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor who were perfection with how they performed these two characters it enhanced the Enemies to Lovers trope because having it acted out is brilliant.
I Loved listening to Teddy and Samantha tell this story.
As well as the enemies to lovers this is also an age gap and brothers best friend romance...It all starts at a masked Halloween party were Jack and Wren get together not knowing who eachother is and Jack takes her V-card..Then when the masks come off the realisation that he has just had sex with his best friends sister..Jack doesn't react well and regrets what happened, and well this is were they start to hate on eachother.
They are better as enemies because the more they hate eachother the more they can ignore their attraction and ignore the fact they do like one another.
But they both never forget that night.
Jack is a doctor and best friends with Wren's brother, who is together with Jack's sister.Wren is a doctor in training,4 years go by in which Wren has changed as she has been through alot.A relationship went really bad and she has been scarred by it,in more ways than one.
Wren is a real fighter she is sassy and fiesty and shows so much resiliance and strength to not let what happened to her stop her from pursuing her dream.
But now Jack is her boss for 4 weeks at the hospital all her family work at and even worse he is her new neighbour.!!
It is like fate wants to bring them together..
The banter and snarky jibes between Jack and Wren is amazing they really don't hold anything back with their hate...Their chemistry is strong and their attraction is potent and it is getting harder and harder to keep it contained....The hate sex in this book is FANTASTIC !!
Jack has also been hurt by a previous relationship and so has basically given up on dating.
I do love Jack especially when all the walls come down and they get together,he wants to shout it from the rooftops that he is with Wren and tell everyone. He is all in but it is Wren who is reluctant to tell people..Her family are really great but they are very protective over Wren and bonus they love Jack since they have always known him too.
But her reluctance to tell everyone could potentially ruin their romance and their careers.
J.Saman has written an incredible love/hate book her words draw you in and I was hooked listening to this book...I Love her writing.
This book is sensational and I loved listening to it.
5 Brillaint Stars.

love,hate to hate love.

OMG I need a Jack Kincaid in my life! Each book in this series is absolute perfection. (I haven’t read books 1 and 2 yet, though). I finished this book in a day. I just could not put it down.

It’s book 5 in the series in an interconnected world that includes quite a few series and this is a second gen series. There are so many actual cousins and ‘sort of’ cousins and aunties and uncles, it’s hard to keep all the relationships straight. You can find the suggested reading order on the author’s website.

While it can be read as a standalone, there’s a mini spoiler in chapter 6 for book 2, which is Jack’s sister’s book. This book’s timeline overlaps with the previous book, Undeniably Married, so if you like to go into books blind, there’s also something that’s mentioned in this book that could be considered a spoiler for that book.

It doesn’t get more angsty than enemies to lovers, brother’s best friend, supervisor x subordinate dynamic (she’s a med student on a work placement and he’s her attending physician). They had a one night stand at the beginning of the story so there’s obvious chemistry between them, but then a miscommunication of sorts leads to a growing animosity between them. Their families are close, so they occasionally see each other on special holidays, but they can’t stand each other. The tension only increases when they’re forced to work together.

Watching their relationship evolve from enemies to reluctant friends to lovers was heartwarming. They both have past trauma that the other helps them work through and I really fell in love with Jack as I watched his reaction to finding out about Wren’s trauma and his behaviour going forward. I also loved Wren’s strong independent nature and how she turned her trauma into something positive.

I love the found family/ large, boisterous family element to this series. They’re family is a nosy, supportive bunch full of unique personalities that add depth and humour to the story. I really enjoyed seeing some of my favourite characters from past books.

The narration was phenomenal. Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor are two narrators I really enjoy. This might be my favourite Samantha Brentmoor performance. This was done in dual style and I love her masculine voice and her portrayal of Jack was perfect. I also really enjoyed her range of female voices. There’s a scene that included 4 or 5 female cousins/friends and she gave each of them a distinct voice that fit their personality. It was just such a joy to listen to. I really enjoyed Teddy’s portrayal of Jack. He’s great at delivering cocky banter and snark. I also particularly enjoyed the scenes that showed Jack’s vulnerability.

Entertaining and swoony

There is a certain addictive element to J. Saman’s books. Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope, so when you can take a lifelong crush and still turn it into all the delicious angst of enemies to lovers. I’m all in!! Jack trying to hide his feelings in animosity was hilarious, the man was so far gone. Wren in all her beautiful vulnerability was still living her teenage life, trying to hide the fact that she was full gone for her brother’s best friend. “Sass & Sunshine with a dash of darkness.” I loved this description of Wren. I loved their banter, the sexual tension behind the barbs was off the charts. The secrecy, the steamy moments and the sweet gestures had me completely hooked. And don’t get me started on the end. That may have been the swooniest ending I’ve ever read. The entire scene I could already see playing out in my mind from the moment she saw the drink. All I could think was, “please, please, please” and it played it out exactly as I hoped. Happily Ever After indeed! This book was 5 stars from the very first chapter!

Audio notes: Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton - YUM! They were a delight to listen to. I will never get enough of a sassy Ms.Brentmoor. Teddy Hamilton gave the perfect blend of vulnerability and swagger. I couldn’t picture another voice as Jack.

I was hooked from the very first chapter!

I’m in love 😍 their banter 🔥
I loved how protective our mmc was too, and how we got to see every side to both these characters. It felt like a 2000’s Rom com 🥹 with a mix of 10 things I hate about you and how to lose a guy in 10 days - definitely recommend!!

Amazing!!
