Most of the dark twists I didn't see coming, especially those that had an almost hopeful feeling at the end, I was pleasantly surprised at their inclusion in this collection, as they lifted the horror just enough to keep it from being overwhelming, as many of the stories reflect the darker side of human nature.
Kyle James Higgins was a great choice of narrator, he really brought the characters to life and helped the reader feel the fear and sometimes terror of a moment. He also brought warmth and likeablity to many of the characters, even as their stories took those dark twisted turns. His characterisation of the female characters was sadly the only thing that let him down, as they all had the same voice and it was the typical weird squeaky odd idea of a female voice that many male narrators seem to have.
Other than that I can not fault him for the way he brought these stories to life and I would happily listen to more book narrated by him.
