About this listen

Gratoul city: the home to degenerates, criminals, labor men and women, and few noble souls. A city of tragedy, grief, and probable collusion.

After receiving a promotion at his construction firm, Nescien visits the hospital bed of his ill wife, Seresa. When his visit becomes the last, Nescien is torn with grief and despair, begging for his deceased wife’s revival.

An ominous figure observes his grief from the shadows; donning an odd hat, and carrying a chilling cold with him. He offers Nescien a deal, an exchange for his wife’s revival with a service to the powers of shadow. In this exchange, Nescien begets the name Umbral Stalker, and pledges his fealty to the mysterious man.

Through this power, Umbral Stalker emerges alongside the cries of those suffering, and even those past death. Arising from the shadows of perpetrators, the looming vigilante’s silhouette becomes the last image that the criminals of Gratoul will surely remember. For Umbral Stalker has only one obligation to honor: To intervene the world’s cruel fate.

With his life transformed, Umbral Stalker arises to punish all who honor death.

gritty and intense, with plot twists aplenty. Dark and exciting that had me gripped to the end. Definitely worth a listen with an excellent narration.

Great story, great narration.

I just finished listening to "Umbral Stalker: Groom to the Shadow Maiden," and it was really unique. The dark and mysterious setting in Gratoul city kept me hooked into the story, but I have to say that it was intense and the tone was bleak and a bit too much for me. What I like the most was how deep the characters were and how Nescien's journey unfolded. It's more than a story about fantasy and more about Nascien struggling emotionally which made it feel real. The heavy atmosphere though may not be for every listener, especially if you are looking for something light and easy to listen to.

It's a great narration of a very intriguing thriller story. The story development and character development are enticing and convincing. Got me hooked for the whole journey following Nescien's story. Underworld themed things have always been one of my favorites and i just dig anything about that, books, movies, etc. This one has been a great one that i love so much.

great narration of the thriller story

The production quality of the audiobook enhances the story's dark ambiance, with the narrator’s voice lending a grave and somber tone that perfectly suits the narrative's mood.
