Especially not when he steals me away from home and wants to use me as his broodmare. Kloran is intense and sometimes scary. We’d heard rumors about the Vandar raiders — everyone in the galaxy had. Terrifying and ruthless, they were a scourge on the Zagrath empire and destroyed everything in their path. Few had actually laid eyes on the Vandar or the notorious warlords who led their fleets of warships — and survived to talk about it. So, when the ruthless aliens boarded our ship intent on destroying it and killing the crew, I did the only thing I could do. I gave myself to the dark and menacing warlord.

Summary
Ull Rigel is a fit and worthy Tornian warrior, the first male of a powerful and respected Lord. Because of this, he'd always believed he'd be able to attract a female, securing his bloodline.
But he hadn't.
He hadn't even been able to attract one of the Earth females they'd discovered. But his younger brother, a third male, did. Now, the Emperor was sending Ull to Earth to protect it from the Ganglians who were abducting the females his brother warriors so need.
Trisha Burke had plans for her life. Career. Family. Friends. But one moment changed all that. Her friend Lisa and Lisa's two children suddenly disappeared without any explanation. When local law enforcement couldn't find them, she reached out to the most powerful person she knew. The President of the United States, her Uncle.
Two people who have had their lives turned upside down are on a collision course. How these two handled the impact and deal with the aftermath will affect not just them but all the Known Universes.

Loved this book as much as the rest of the series, great how all the stories create a series, but still make sense on their own even out of sequence
The narration is great and the sound effects contribute to make this a truly great listening experience

😒It Missed the Mark😔😔😔😔
Ok ok I'm a huge MKE fan I got All her books, I have probably have read Grim over 50 times that's how much I love it. The same goes for the other books in this series and all her other books outside of it. I have read the book re read and listen to this but at last it's a "Meh"
With that said this book "Ull" just didnt do it for me at all !! Its missing something, like more substance and it felt rushed💔💔💔.
((a bit spoiler alerts and a Rant)).
For the most part,
We quickly learned that Ull has a very hard time navigating his feelings and expressing them BIG TIME !!!
Which makes jealousy and envy something very new and very strange to him, and also most importantly self-doubt because there is a lot of it and Deco just prayed and fed off of that. Really and truly what he really needed was someone to guide him through those emotions and someone to put him in his place Trisha👏🙌👌. ((Well Captain Veron also helps to but imma get to him later but back to Trisha.))
Trisha hands down is everything, if I were to described her I would say she is strong-willed and minded just like Lisa but still compassionate and caring almost like Abby and Mac. Although she was battling for her own life while still blaming herself for the disappearance of Lisa and her little girls. You can see how much she cared for her mother, her Tío (uncle), earth and very quickly Ull.
but like I said this book was lacking substance like for example
1)why in the world the Kaliszains and Tornians are giving power crystals so much more to earth and its government without them theirselves understanding Earth's history. ( what can be for a good could also be for evil if I'm not mistaking that's how this saying goes)
2). Why is it other than Trisha and the females survivors from the Ganglian ship, they are the only females that we encounter in this book because they clear spent a week going back-and-forth from Earth to the ship and no other females that are on the earth.
3) For my part negotiations for Earth went too smoothly there was no Earthling bad guys, I mean to say no one from Earth tried to sneak Ull's transporter.
4) A huge chunk of this book was mostly focused on Ull coming to terms with his feelings which is fine but again there was so many more different aspects that MKE could have touch based on and she didn't and that's was a let down.
But in the end the book brings up a few other questions and stories that sounds WAY MORE INTERESTING than this story. like
1). Who is the Warrior from the house Nizar that is having a joining ceremony on Luda.
2). Korin is having a joining ceremony to what an earth female on Luda how did that come about!
3) Wise man Veron at this point need a female of his own want to drive him crazy 🤣lol
4) And really is Jen and Mac are the only Earth females who are true mates to Kaliszains ?
hopefully MKE does wayy better in her next book🤞

Another great story
I just love Mk Eidem’s characters and this audiobook was fun to listen to. Ull is the continuation of the Tornian series and he is the brother of Ynyr in a previous book. He’s sent to Earth by the Tornian Emperor Wray to negotiate for Earth females in exchange for protection of Earth from Ganglians. The heroine is the niece of the US President and Lisa’s close friend. Lisa has told Ull to contact the friend first to ease the way, but he just kidnaps her and brings her to the ship. Ull doesn’t have a very positive view of women, Tornian or otherwise, but getting to know the beautiful woman is the beginning of an awakening. But She can’t get involved with him because she has a secret. Narration is excellent as always in this authors stories, as she uses multiple voice and some sound effects.

It was missing something
I did like the story, I've been waiting for Ull knowing somehow I'd end up really liking him. But the story lacked any real action or intrigue. It read more like a really long novella to me. So while I don't regret buying it, there is not enough story to make me want to read/listen to it again.

Great installment in series
I’m definitely impressed with how Ms Eidem was able to construct this story so it was believable. It worked.
Ull has so many issues that I was sure going in that he’s too pigheaded to successfully make contact on Earth and be a good representative for Tornian. Eidem doesn’t sugarcoat him and makes his learning and correcting his issues work in the storyline.
Eidem also makes Trisha very strong but not without compassion and understanding. She is able to get to the heart of Ull’s issues and make him think. She “makes him a better man.”
Even the coming together of world leaders fits in the world building and storyline. I appreciated a story where humans didn’t immediately destroy Earth in riots upon learning there really is life out there and it’s arrived here. Well done!
Oh, I So Hope Ms Eidem will be able to write a future story following the happy events for the various couples currently expecting. I would LOVE to see Oryon and Isis knock those Tornians off their pins with twin girls! (Happy dance) And will Dr Rebecca Mines get her HEA?
Gordon and Gill do a great job with the narration and recording.
Recommend.

It's OK
Not as good as the other books. I think that is due to the fact that the book took place almost entirely on Earth or orbiting it. I listen to alien books to escape this place. I didn't feel the connection between the two MCs as in the others. Although I didn't feel one in Wray either, at least the story was a little more exciting due to the peril. Only one sex scene? Really? Bummed about that. I really hope that we get Korrin's book next and that his story is not glossed over.

Trisha and Ull
This was a very good book but I did not feel it was nearly as good as the others in the Tornian series. I can’t put my finger on it, but it felt like something was different or missing. Also, the ending was just OK for me. I feel it could have been much better and a little longer. It also felt a little rushed. The couple got their HEA but I felt that the book could have continued longer and have them go back Ull’s planet since they planned to go there anyway. This way, we could see what happens and if Trisha meets up with Lisa again. This book took place on earth. Ms. Eidem has a wonderful imagination with these books, especially with the lifesaving technology. Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill did a great job with the narration. I also love the sound effects.
