I've got and have read all the Plum books. This feels more grown up and emotional than the previous books and that's a good thing. Characters do have to develop a little over time, even if they barely age!

I always look forward to the next book and this was not a disappointment.

Lorelei reads it wonderfully as always.

Stephanie is very worried about her grandma since she is being targeted by the local mafia and by the family of her late husband. At the same time she is depressed about her work and the lack of commitment in her life, which is an interesting twist. Lula is always awesome and I enjoyed this story very much.

Some of the reviews for this say that it’s not up to the usual standards. I believe that they may be book reviews - not audio reviews!

This is a sober story, because it’s close to home! So it shouldn’t be slapstick but it can’t help but be hilarious because - Lula!!!!!

Grandma Mazur has to be more sober because she’s the widow, but she’s also Grandma Mazur!!! So every scene with her can’t be hilarious, but she still has a coffin lid, a heavy bag and her gun! You can’t top those!

It was great to see Mr & Mrs Plum have some great speaking parts (and an iron)! It was all pure fun.

The advantage that we have over the print reviews is: Lorelei King! She delivers 100% as usual! Every. Single. Character has his or her distinct voice - no exceptions! It is a real joy to listen to her narrating Stephanie’s adventures, because she doesn’t! We’re there living it with them. There is no narrator!

this was the 1st audible of this series I've listened to and the narrator just didn't do a good enough job. After 25 books, I know these characters. there's been a film and I just can't tie up the narration.

usual lol moments but the performance was just flat, sadly
