The little stories wouldn’t win prices, but it was fun and different to listen to some subtle horror stories set in a different culture. A little disconcerting, having a female narrator for a man’s story, but that has to happen in longer novels with more than one protagonist. It held my attention throughout. Recommended.

I found this while trawling through results for 'ghost stories' and am so happy I did. I was hooked from the very first story and particularly enjoyed the sound effects which added to the atmosphere. They're not stories that will have you hiding under your bedsheets, but they're interesting, funny, and chilling. I hope Audible provides us with more authors and content like this. Quality writing and production, I promise you won't regret this listen.

a collection of modern horror short stories from india, relatively fast paced to keep you hooked, the themes are varied, which was nice, a few expected parts and outcomes.
the first story, with the vacation gone wrong, was probably my favourite from the collection, with its karma-comes-to-bite-back message for not being vegetarian.

These short stories are all built around the final twist which, in my opinion, is a very unsatisfying way of structuring a story. Unfortunately, this is extremely common because most readers approach a short story expecting that. Twisted is a collection of rather well-written but ultimately rather mediocre stories. The first one is possibly the most interesting one with its vivid descriptions, but it drags on and on until it reaches the final twist which, by the way, is a few sentences too long (I’m avoiding spoilers).
