An alpha in need of healing. An omega looking for a second chance to change his future.

When Alistair Hall lost his mate, he lost everything. To cope with the heartache, he’s thrown himself into supporting his pack. Finding strength in his work helps him forget, until he comes face-to-face with a complicated omega who could change his mind about everything.

How long can you sell something you don’t believe in? Whether it’s an image or a product, Matthew is running out of things in which to have faith.

Matthew Norris sells fantasies - a jaded omega peddling shallow dreams at Hearts Connected. He doesn’t believe in love, but if it makes money, he can pretend. When a chance encounter puts him in the path of an irresistible alpha, Matthew begins to question his outlook on life...and on love.

Through shady business deals and the threat of losing everything, can these two wolves find their way to forever, or will the past drive them apart?

Nice narration

Alistair and Matthew are in Wheaton wanting to start their lives over. Mathew recovering from a bad divorce and business woes. Alistair working through losing his mate. They have a lot of issues to work through before they can be be together. The book was slow in the beginning but did get better. I liked Matthew very much. Alistair took longer to warm up to, probably because he allowed Kenneth to walk all over him. Matthew had to deal with his gossipy sister who caused no end of problems. When Matthew’s pregnancy caused issues between them, both men made some bad decisions. Mpreg books have always fascinated me and this one didn’t disappoint. Although I have read other of the authors books that I liked better. I liked the narration. The characters were defined enough that I could tell them apart. I would recommend Randi Johnson as a narrator.

Fantastic

This was a fantastically fun listen. I loved the narrator and the story line can’t wait to listen to more from this narrator and more from this author

Definitely a second for both 💕

Allistair came from NY after having lost so much. He seeks to build a new life but doesn’t count on Matthew to come into this new life. Matthew lost so much through his divorce. Even his love matching business. I like the dynamics from being the caretaker, Matthew was taken care of and the struggle with all those secrets made me keep on reading, wondering if they might find true love. Lots of emotion shown by Randi Johnson on his awesome job as a narrator.

Great, enjoyable story. Excellent narration.

I really enjoyed Randy Johnson's narration of this story. He brought the characters to life beautifully, which is no mean feat considering how many male voices there are! I loved the twist of this book. It did make me chuckle when I realised what it was, and I loved it! The characters are very sweet but the book is also on the steamy side of things. I really enjoyed the story and could quite happily have stayed longer with these characters and their world.

Cute story

Enjoyable read but not my favorite of the Welcome to Wheaton series. Matthew and Alistair was good together, but I hate the fact that they almost made a silly rumor ruined a good thing. This is a first time narrator for me and I'm not sure about him. The words ran together and his voice didn't change for the characters, or for the tone of the story. If you love mpreg romance you can give this a try, the story was engaging. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Paranormal Goodness

I love M/M romance, but I'm an even bigger sucker for Mpreg books. I enjoyed the story immensely. This was the first time I've listened to Randi Johnson and his voice was perfect for the characters. I would definitely listen to more of his narrations.

as good as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings: 5* - very very good it's like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often re-listening it's like an A 3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year. it's like a B

Enjoyable story

The story is about a romance between shifter and human. There's problems and mysteries surrounding our MCs and you feel compelled to find out what they are and how the romance develops. All the story line seemed to resolve OK but there are two niggling things: Kenneth's explanation of why he was so mean to Alistair did not make sense. And he was really mean to the point where I wanted Alistair to just punch the guy (regardless of the consequences). And then I didn't like the fact that Will was out of a job (his choice but still) and it kind of sucks! Matthew should have at least talked to Will before hand. These are just minor things. Overall, it's an enjoyable story.

Thanks for the ACX

Thank you for the ACX Audio, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. This was a great emotional story from loss and new love. When Matt is losing everything he meets Alistair. His business and home life life was going down the drain he stopped believing in love and that was his business. Alistair was running from the hurt of his past only to have it catch up with him when he was just making a new life with Matt. When rumor mills start can Matt look past the lies to see the truth or loss out on happiness? This was a wonderful audio and Randi Johnson is a wonderful story teller.

Twice Bitten

Alister moves to help out his Alpha and try to get over losing his mate. Matt has just gotten divorced and is trying to find a new normal. They come together with some big ups and downs. Can’t wrap my head around a guy getting pregnant or giving birth but over all enjoyed the story.

enjoyed it

Overall (3.5 stars), a good story with some humor, emotions, and drama. The narrator did a good job, however I found sometimes if I wasn't concentrating on the story there wasn't enough difference between the two characters to distinguish who was speaking.
