Summary
Sjette bind i slægtskrøniken om Ib Nielsen, der nu er flyttet til Paris, hvor han bor sammen med en ung fransk kvinde og hendes datter. Bogens hovedpersoner er dog Ibs tvillingesøstre Eva og Ingrid, der begge bliver forfulgt af galningen Max Sønnichen. Eva er hans kærlighedslængsel, mens han betragter Ingrid som en utålelig kopi.
