Story
Captain Sabine Fleischer is a skilled and dedicated US Army surgeon deployed to a combat hospital in Afghanistan. She is also one of the thousands of troops who are forced to serve in silence because of the military's anti-gay policy of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DADT)". Usually driven and focused, Sabine finds that battles raging both inside and outside are making it more and more difficult for her to deal with her emotions. Dealing with loss and mortality, lack of privacy, sleep deprivation, loneliness, and the isolation forced on her by Don't Ask, Don't Tell are all taking their toll.

Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

Story
Julia Maguire can't wait to spend two weeks in Hawaii with her best friends. She's been dreaming about this trip for years and all she wants is to lay on a sandy beach with an icy cocktail in her hand. But those vacation goals change the moment she meets Reed Baxter. Reed is a busy doctor with family demands. She's in Hawaii to let go, not find love, and she's not interested in any commitment. Adding a little heat to the vacation seems like a good idea as long as there aren't expectations for anything more.

Story
Jacqueline Keys was ostracized from her small hometown of Pine Springs, Texas, when she was 17, sent away because she was gay. Fifteen years later - long after she'd hitch-hiked to Los Angeles, put herself through college, and had written her first best seller - Jacqueline is persuaded to go back to the tiny town of Pine Springs after her father's death. The quick trip she'd envisioned for the funeral turns into weeks as she learns her father's business is suddenly hers to manage. And she is also again face-to-face with the woman who, as a teen, had been Jackie's first crush.

Summary
Stockbroker Isabelle Rhodes has a lot of money, a lot of trust issues, and a whole lot of reasons to believe her ex-girlfriend was right when she said that Isabelle sucked at relationships. With that accusation stuck in her head, Isabelle throws caution to the wind and dives into her first one-night stand. Checking that off her bucket list should be something to celebrate - except it turns out that the woman she just spent an earth-shattering night with is actually her newly hired company pilot, Audrey Graham.
Ms. Never-See-You-Again just turned into Ms. See-You-Constantly.
Concerned about the stigma of workplace dalliances, Isabelle vows it can't go further than the one night. Good plan - if not for an insistent libido and an even more persistent Audrey who conspires to break Isabelle's resolve. Soon their no strings arrangement starts to feel a lot like dating, and Isabelle finds herself wanting more than just casual nights together....

Nothing makes this book standout
Although well delivered by Abby Craden this novel is not remarkable in any way. If you just want a straight forward racy romance then you will be happy, but if you are looking for anything that makes it different from a 100 other lesbian romance novels then look elsewhere.

Noyes and Craden, a match in lesfic heaven
I read this book when it was published a couple of years ago and I absolutely loved it so now that it was released in audiobook narrated by Abby Craden, I decided to enjoy it again. The association of Ms. Noyes, author, and Ms. Craden, narrator is a match in lesfic heaven. This isn’t an easy story to narrate as it is demanding in the interpretation of a range of different feelings and the multiple sex scenes. Ms. Craden delivered the performance of this lesbian romance audiobook convincingly and as usual, brought the story to life in an amplified dimension. Her voices are satisfactory for every character and her different accents, including the southern drawl, are spot-on. Her performance does justice to the novel. Highly recommended if you like romances with a bit of substance and don’t mind a few (justified) sex scenes. Overall, 5 stars for the story, 5 stars for the narration. Just buy it
EJ Noyes and Abby Craden: a match made in lesfic heaven. I loved Ask Tell, Ask me again and Alone. Loved this just as much for different reasons. The touch is lighter and the subject matter is more romcom than the others, and I love me a good romcom. This is a great story containing laughs, tears, misunderstandings, corporate shenanigans and warm family moments. The 'friends with benefits or could we be more' relationship is intriguing and hot hot hot. I have nothing bad to say about this, except that it had to end!

Made it into my top 10
E.J. Noyes is fast becoming one of my favorite authors! And Abby Craden is BRILLIANT as always! I wish she would narrate all my favorite books. Her voice is perfect for any character and she portrays them effortlessly, pulling you into the story rather than distracting you from it. The first book I read by E.J. Noyes was “Alone”, and I absolutely loved it. This one is just as good but not as heavy. There are some angsty parts but on the whole the book is fun and entertaining. It’s a wonderful journey through the romance of the two MCs and the build-up is very enjoyable. Also, it’s very funny and had a lot of laugh out loud moments. I love Isabelle’s inner monologue! It had me cracking up every time! I don’t typically like books that are told from the first person but Noyes always makes it work well and I think that’s part of what made it so enjoyable and easy to relate to. I have read A LOT of lesbian fiction, and Turbulence is in my top ten for sure. You cannot go wrong with this one! Happy Listening!

E.J. Noyes and Abby Craden - LesFic Heaven!!
E.J. Noyes, once again, has written an incredible story with well developed characters, the right amount of angst, intrigue and mystery - coupled with the slow burning desire between 2 women who belong together! I find myself laughing, talking to, yelling at, and feeling with the characters in this book. I want to hug Isabelle, shake Isabelle, sit her down for a talk - and maybe even be Isabelle! Well written, well performed. Anything LesFic and Abby Craden is as usual, your cake and eating it, too!!

4.5 out of 5 thanks to Abby Craden
I absolutely loved the EJ Noyes audiobook for "Alone," so had to get another by Noyes with Abby Craden narrating (swoon!). I didnt think "Turbulence " was as good as "Alone." When I listened to Alone, I was telling my coworkers and they'd ask me if I didnt bring it up first. the story for that was deeper and seemed much more interesting. "Turbulence " was very good, just not as good as the other Noyes book.

I loved the book, but the Audible version is fabulous. EJ Noyes is so talented. She has an uncanny ability to allow the reader to feel the story. I felt as if I was an interloper. Audrey and Isabelle, what sweltering chemistry...Yikes this book is hot. Abby Craden outdid herself. Brilliant performance.

Narrator turned this into a softcore pleasure
it's hot and heavy from the start, but a pleasant I don't want to be in love storyline and isn't too angsty. The narrators voice made this heaven to listen to. It's light and passionate and a nice book to listen to. Read it if you want hot and heavy without a lot of angst.
