From internationally best-selling author Ivy Smoak comes a heart-stopping thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end...

I'm not supposed to leave the house. But what my husband doesn't know won't kill him. I break his rules every morning on my runs. It's always been best when I have a routine. So every day I wake up, run, clean the house, wish for a better life, repeat. And every day is exactly the same.

Except for Thursdays. I live and breathe for Thursdays. It's when he comes. I watch him from a distance. I can't help myself. But I was never supposed to talk to him.

I know what you're thinking. But you don't know my story. You don't know the kind of monster my husband is. And trust me, you have no idea who I am.

I loved the twist although I had guessed the outcome and definitely a good read.

convincing narrator

Rambling on and on with a ridiculous plot and ending. Not enthralling, just boring. Recommend for when you can’t sleep and want something rambling on in your ear to help you fall asleep.

The truth in my lies

Far too contrived, felt the ending was rushed to explain the unbelievable plot . Would be better cut down by at least half.

Far too long and drawn out

Totally unbelievable storyline. Nothing made sense. I wouldn’t bother. I felt confused at the end.

Terrible

I kept listening to this audiobook for one reason only: I couldn't believe how much worse it could get. The plot was packed with implausible events, the characters made baffling decisions, and any connection to reality seemed entirely optional. What started as disbelief gradually turned into a strange fascination. Unfortunately, curiosity was the only thing keeping me going to the end. Laughably unrealistic and unintentionally entertaining for all the wrong reasons.

So bad I initially thought it was written by AI
